Awesome!! Great achievement and so pleased for John. You could see how hard he was working when we caught sight in your rear view. WOW, what a race and I still can’t believe with all those “hottest” “DNFs” “less sub24hr” that a doctor from the north of cold, wet England came to Western States and won in 2nd fastest womens time and 7th overall?!? How the heck did she train for that! Awesome.

Terrific video, Ryan. My wife and I stayed up late on Tuesday to watch it on our larger TV...just terrific video and storytelling. Glad you let the camera run a bit more. Mega congrats to John for persevering through such awful heat, especially in the Canyons. Thanks for the video going into and out of the Rucky Chucky River Crossing...that has to be really tough at that stage of the race, especially in the dark, even with the many volunteers helping. My wife is totally impressed, BTW. Thank you!!

Loved your video! I was out there too, crewing and pacing my friend, #235. She was just behind you and John and ended up having to withdraw for medical reasons at Pointed Rock. When you were filming after you guys left ForestHill and stopped to cross the road that you paused at and said “all clear” and then you continued across and down the trail, the house you passed on your left as you got back on the trail was the house we were staying in during the race. I’m sure we were at ForestHill at the same time. Glad John made it. It was SUPER tough this year out there!!!!! (And sooooooooo much poison oak. Ugh!)
@RyanClaytonFilms3 жыл бұрын
That's crazy you were there at the same time!!! Sorry to hear about your runner, but yes it was a super tough year! Lots and lots of poison oak out there, but I guess I was spared, only had a few little spots from it!
