FEMA has trailers, though that would be tough considering there's still a lot of roads that could be a problem, not to mention needing the power grid back in place. I feel really bad for those folks. Especially the ones with children. But I have no doubt they will overcome this. Mountain people have never had easy lives, and they don't quit.

Everyone please care for your outdoor pets and strays if you can! Remember, towels or any sort of blankets will collect moisture and will not benefit any fur babies unless changed often. Use straw, wood/cedar shavings! Nothing makes my heart happier than trying to help the strays around our area.

I've got 18 feral cats and 1 kitten that over the years we've made plenty of insulated straw filled shelters for...they all eat here and appear happy and healthy. I have a few that don't seem to want to use the shelters but at least I know they have access to them if they choose to.

as a person living in North Carolina, I can confirm that this trough system is finally an angel to what we experienced in the last few winters when we hardly even got snow Although people west of where I live are still recovering from catastrophic impacts of hurricane Helene (which was the most vicious of all the hurricanes in the 2024 hurricane season), I am definitely a person who loves snow, and I could hope that we get the right amount of snow accumulated so that we can impress Ryan with the Y'all O'meter from nc

I'm in Pennsylvania. It's been quite a while since we've had snow on the ground for Christmas. Here's hoping that we get snow for the holiday. Then, on Jan 2, I'd be very happy for temps to get back into the 50s and 60s. =P I've been hoping our climate changes to match the climate of San Diego, CA. We just had our first snow storm of the year that dropped 12"+ of snow where I live. Snow does a great job in getting me in the festive mood for the holidays. Thanks for your videos, Ryan.
