Thank you for the awesome tutorial. As a newbie blender, I'm so confused at procedural material and using the nodes in shader. Your kind, crystal clear and straightforward explanation (w/ bunch of tips) is incredibly helpful in understanding the NODES! I'm watching and learning your previous vids related to this topic one by one, and carving my own material-nodes-diagrams in my mind like a subway map. lol... Thanks again, Mr. King! :)

Many thanks for your great effort and for this introduction. I am highly fascinated about the possibilities of procedural materials done with nodes. It seems to be a complex topic and I had some troubles to follow. This is not your fault, I'm just old and slow. I love the fact that you are more independent of third party libraries and asset packs when you master the procedural materials skill. Reason enough to have a deeper look into it. Thanks again, Ryan.

you were so helpful it was actually unbelivable i thought i wouldve just stopped trying to learn nodes but this video was so easy to understand & really was for beginners. Cuz there are some other videos saying its for beginners but goes on a trip to create the most complex node system without explaining one thing. Or you would have to replay the videos millions of times just to catch on to what they are even saying or doing.

Hi Ryan. Thank you so much for this amazing and in-depth tutorial! You've contributed so much to the Blender community, this is some really great work. I just wanted to tell you though, that the 4th last section of your tutorial(Vector nodes) doesn't seem to produce the same effect on an object in Blender 4.1 Not sure if it's a bug, but essentially nothing happens to the object.

I've tons of bitmaps that I use in Blender currently. Some tiffs and UV's that I created when I was constructing custom bsp, map levels and objects, weapons vehicles scenery for Halo CE and various gaming groups around 2007 to 2011.. The old jms tag assemblies lightmaps and the ever so blind days of the cmd "wait to see what you baked " lol. I mean, watching a render in real time is only one of many mind blowing assets Blender posses. and it's free!! I paid upward of 2,000 for Autodesk in 2008 to 2010 ver That being said, this node assembly ui and the way the textures and finally materials are constructed is another mind sweeper but you lay it out very well. Thanks again for another stellar tut:)
