The interior is awesome, it’s one of my favorite things about the car. No bullshit or frills, straight out of the 90’s. It’s nostalgic. You might be too young

Is the car reliable? As someone who will probably keep it stock for the most part and use it for daily driving, is it able to keep up with normal driving conditions and not break down or constantly need repairs?
@ryanlarkinss2 жыл бұрын
with these cars its honestly a hit or miss. I've seen people go 150k+ miles and ive seen people blow their engine at 40k. if you keep it stock and daily drive it, it should last
@samsquanch13822 жыл бұрын
Really depends on how you treat the vehicle

As an owner of a 2014 FRS, I expect to see 200k miles or have it rust out first. I'd avoid 2013 due to valve spring issues but a good running engine should stay good. Don't do extended donuts as the oil pan isn't baffled and you could oil starve your engine, but drifting corners is fine. Just don't do a 10 second plus sideways as there's only so much oil to go around. Don't bounce it off the rev limiter. If your check engine light is flashing, pull over. That's your blow up warning. If you want a faster car, buy a 370z. Don't buy this looking for 0-60 times, buy this looking to stare the grim reaper dead in the eye as you drift every highway ramp in your area. Buy this to lower it and put racing rubber on it. Don't put a sub in it, it needs the trunk space and it will sound like shit due to lack of sound deadening. Remember they built this to feel fast, if its not for you buy something else. A Camaro 2ss feels faster than a Mustang and drifts nice, if you want that (I know I sold cars). Is the GT86 reliable? Yes, but under 50k miles and as good as possible of condition is highly recommended. When buying a sportscar, get the one thats as clean as possible. I daily mine and with winter tires, it drives in a few inches of snow without any issue.

Replacing my side markers made me hate this car. It sounds silly but trying to remove the stock side bois led to my bumper sag, and fiddling with the A clips wound up fucking up the thing they latch onto. So now i have to zip tie my side markers on. And they still sag.

this car if you like it definitely has a lot of room inside although it looks small on the outside. If you are a muscle car guy mustangs and chargers/challengers are massive. Corvettes especially the newer ones have really small interiors and short roof lines but you never know. go checkout some cars at a dealer and find what is good for you!
