Exist trace is in its 19th year. They started out as melodic death metal but they do a lot of styles. Played at Sakuracon in Seattle a few years before Band-Maid did. Never really took off but they are a solid band.

I always liked them. They always did whatever the damn they wanted stylistically.

The androgyny is strong in this one. I did like the song a lot. The Cure have one good song, maybe two.

Unfortunately it is one of those cases where the vocalist didn’t have the proper technique and hurt her voice so can’t do this kind of vocal nowadays. Maybe just a song or two.

I am pretty sure she still used harsh vocals the couple of sets I have seen by them (was checking it out for an other band originally), but not all the time and not as extreme as these vocals. And I agree these don't sound super healthy. I have seen 2 sets by them and I believe they are on the card for a streamed live set in October I am probably going to check out. From what I remember they have played a lot of different genres during those sets and her cleans are also better nowadays. They also have been around for 19 years and they would have the guiness book record instead of Scandal for longest female band is they didn't add an extra member after 1 year apparently. All the other members still seem the same from what I can see.

Naturally people's vocal cords deteriorate as they age especially vocalists.
