Thanks, cool ideas! I don't understand the Sky Timelapse...you have 1 clip with you Walking forward and 1 clip with the timelapse on the same position? So both on the Tripod? You could add a little bit zoom, 10-20%, than it would be perfect! 😅

On the masking transition with the beam would it not be easier to just mask off the entire left side of the frame and invert it as opposed to masking the beam only?

Yeah, Im done trying to keep up with new versions of Final Cut. I am stuck on 10.5.2, and that is good enough for me. I can do all the tricks, so I don't need the new stuff, although some of it is very cool. It is what it is. I might even teach myself iMovie to be sure I can use free video editing software. I can't afford a new computer and software anymore. I was able to for years- not anymore.

The FCP 11 update is free (if you already own a copy of FCPX) so there is zero expense to upgrade. Some of the 'new' features in FCP 11 do require a Mac with Apple silicon, but magnetic mask doesn't and works amazingly on a 2019 Intel machine.
