I liked this painting but I found that the colours on my canvas didn't come out as vibrant giving the painting a sort of dull look. The added details at the end are beautiful, but I find that the trees don't look anything like the paintings end result.

Ryan, I love your work. I've attempted a couple of the ten minute pieces but needs lots of work still. do you have a long version of this video? and I know you're using a large round headed brush.BUT I can't seem to find one that even comes close to what you're using. HELP please.
@RyanORourkeArtist
@RyanORourkeArtist 7 жыл бұрын
I do not have a longer version of this painting. However, I do have an answer to your question regarding the round headed brush. I actually know a fair number of people who have had issues finding something similar and I always advise them to purchase a mop brush instead. The mop brush is also round and will render a soft blend. Most art stores should carry them :)

Because clouds and mountains are generally in the background I would advise keeping the contrast subtle. You don't want it to be harsh and distract from your main subjects. In short, less is more :)

@RyanORourkeArtist
@RyanORourkeArtist 5 жыл бұрын
Primary blue it it's own technical color which can be purchased. It's essentially as neutral as you can get in terms of warmth/coolness. Cobalt blue is fairly close, though, cobalt blue is a warm pigment and has slight hints of red/purple in it.
