A lot of them forget when they design a mega mansion so huge one gets lost in them and the space is wasted and the price is too much! We forget what a home should be. People grossly exaggerate how expensive it is in SF, like they do with a lot of other things. Not that $10M is cheap by any means, but the entrance of big Tech definitely drove up prices in the city over the last decade, and since tech workers are working mostly remote now, the market is re-balancing a bit. Although you still can't find a single family home in the city for under $2 million.

The thickness of the kitchen countertop is just a mitered edge. That is not the actual thickness of the slab. It's just an additional (minor) labor cost, not an added material cost. Also, the counter looks like quartz, which is a cheap man made material. Not real stone like marble or quartzite. This place is WAY overpriced.
