A wee tip that works for me... Do not put your foulie trousers inside your boots, the water will run down the material into your boots making your feet wet and cold and it will seep into the rest of you - warm feet, warm soul! Keep the trouser outside the boots and if it is hard to achieve consider some elasticated gaitors to cover the interface between boot bottom and trouser. Not even a wave will fill your boots then. Also, stating the obvious with hindsight, take some seasick treatment before you leave early on in the season regardless of whether or not you get sick usually - it is just one less thing to worry about - a la Sophie perhaps! Cheers for sharing the warts and all - great series.
