The 1080 v12 works great in wide for a wider toe box, or any altras. Very confortable shoe to wear and jog or long walks (3 milles or more)

If these are used for walking only, would it work for someone with flat narrow feet? I tried gel kayano 29 for walking and I found it so uncomfortable. Im used to wearing ultra boosts (original style). Seems like stabilty shoes don’t work for walking

I'd say give the 880s a try, my siater has narrow flat feet and she loves her 880v13. I personally find the arch support a bit lacking but the cushions are really comfy, not too soft and more stable than the fuel cell models.

I just bought a pair of 880v12 for $67 yesterday. It sounds like the 880v12 runs wide which is exactly what I wanted - just like the 1080v12 which I run in right now. The 1080v10 was smaller and the 1080v12 is perfect for me and I think that they did the same thing with the 880v10 vs 880v12. So I may want to skip the 1080v13 and the 880v13 unless I want to size up. I am waiting for the 1080v12 to go on sale before picking up a few more pairs. I have never run in the 880 before so this is my first shot with them. I've heard that the 880v12 runs warmer but I live in a cold climate area so it should be fine.

Its a shame that they made them too narrow on the latest version. NB did same thing to the Hierro trail shoe. People must have complained about a loose toe box?. I have the 880V12 and love them. NB outlets are selling them for under $100 today. I think they are nice and firm. I find the 1080 too marshmallowy soft for my taste😛

@@michaelpalm2210 The 1080v10 is bouncier than the v12 and I normally run in the v10 and use the v12 as a recovery shoe. I went for a short run in the 880v12 and they were fine; just a little smaller than the 1080v12 but bigger than the 1080v10. I'm looking at picking up a few more pairs of the 880v12 as they are $70 at Joe's New Balance.

Is 880v13 same in the heel as the 880v12? I loved the round roomy fit of the 880v12 (half sized up), except the heel is way too MUSHY! New Balance PLEASE make a FIRMER or denser HEEL, and you will have a perfect shoe. It feels weird to have a firm forefoot, but a MUSHY heel. Had to send my v12's back unfortunately. :(

I just purchased the v13. New Balance and Fleet Feet categorize this v13 as stability shoe. I will cancel my purchase and look for a stability shoe. I overpronate. What shoe would you recommend for stability or motion control? Thanks for the review.

880v13 and 1080v12 are not water resistatnt. You have to pick trail version.

The v13 is definitely narrow. You’ll probably need the wide again

I went 4e instead of 2e on my 13 vs 12. The feel of the 13 is stiffer and springyer than 12

I bought the V12 4E 5 months ago, they are quite comfy and I like the overall spongyness of them but i also have a wide midfoot which is annoying 😟 doesnt stop me wearing them everyday but Im still looking for the perfect runner. I'm considering going to some asics gt 2000 11s or 12 in xtra wide for long walks and short runs. Wish me luck

@@Rulon-bo1ig I did go 1080v12 2e and I find them better than 880v13. The upper and the rocker midsole make the difference for a fore-midfoot striker like me. I'll have to find some use for my 880s now. I find them somewhat annoying to wear lol but they run better than my cumulus24

I currently wear the 1080 and like them, I just feel like sometimes they feel heavy, or it’s hard to pick up the pace. I used to wear the 880’s, but wonder if they will feel even heavier. My other big thing is I need a wide/roomier toe box because I’m cursed with a bunion. Sounds like the 880 runs really small in the toe box? I usually buy wide width. Great video, thanks!!!

Super confy shoe. Great for wide feet. But, that cushioning was a little too much for me on those downhills. Bout pulled a calf. Wish it was a bit firmer.

I have medium width feet, but found too much room in the upper in the D width. I returned them and got the B narrow width and it feels normal. They def run wide

New Balance missed the boat with the 880 V12 and V13 in my opinion. The midsole is no where as good as V11

​@@RyansRunningReviewsYT The major thing I don't like and doesn't work for me is the support in the arch area has been reduced dramatically. They have became to soft which I'm assuming a different version of Fresh Foam X and mostly because the layer of (guessing) FuelCell The 880 has been a staple product for a long time and unfortunately is driving some of us to the Ghost or Ride due to the lack of arch support an being to soft. The minor is the shoe is shorter and the upper.

Huh? I have the v11 (with 375 miles on them) and just ran in the v13 for the first time yesterday. The 13’s have more cushion but still provide a firm-ish, stable ride. Not sure what you mean.

This shoe causes me knee pain and ankle pain which the v12 version did not. Do not recommend 140$ waste of money. 880v13 is horrible.

Not sure what they changed exactly except that the upper and toe box and narrower that the Version12? My 880V12's are my best road , trail , casual ,all around shoes. Glad I stocked up on them when they were on sale😁
