I'm not sure what's the exact reason but in most of Star Wars fan-films lightsaber sounds are cheesy and corny, it's like they are too loud or misplaced. Here? Hell no, here everything sounds as it should. It's using these sounds to full potentiall. It's the best lightsaber duel not only in terms of visual and choreography but arguably in terms of sound too. My opinion hasn't changed in 8 years.

@@CamiloCienfuegosStan buddy. It’s not just MaRey Sue over there. It’s the choreography in the sequels itself, it’s awful; especially when compared to the Prequels which came out 10 years beforehand. Or the OT, which came out 30 years beforehand. Look, you’re right. Rey wouldn’t be able to fight like this when she just learned about the Force. I’m sorry, but that is no excuse for poor choreography. There have been plenty of fights beforehand between inexperienced duelists. Granted they were animated so it was easier to choreograph. @PRESIDENT_LEMON4 жыл бұрын
in my opinion i think its stupid to not have a double ended lightsabre, as if you want to fight someone in a one sabre fight, just don't turn the other end on and being able to unscrew allows for mind games as you switch from staff, to dual wield, to single and back to staff, focusing on that can mess with a warriors mind. if possible id like an inquisitorial type lightsabre as the spinning option is very helpful and you don't need to use it if not needed. i love how the movies acknowladge its a superior weapon but have to make work around like characters saying stuff like "thats not the jedi way" and "it is the weapon of a dishonest warrior" or something like "evil people used it so i wont" its funny.

They’re called dualsabers. Darth Maul had a red one in The Phantom Menace.
@sirpepeofhousekek67413 жыл бұрын
@@PRESIDENT_LEMON The double bladed lightsaber is actually more limited than a standard lightsaber. It requires longer swinging motions and gives less range unless one blade is turned off. Plus, by being connected, if your opponent is smart, they'll always know where the second blade is: it's on the opposite side of the current blade.

Hey Ryan! I have a great idea for what you should do next, this is going along with you're clone ending at the end of this video. How about there is a very powerful ryan so powerful that Brandon and Dorkman have to come together to defeat him! Like so he can see!
@Mr.Dark.Equinnox6 жыл бұрын
TheCameramanGames I have an idea to go with the clone theory, Dorkman and Brendon fight multiple clones of Ryan and eventually kill them all leaving the original Ryan left, looking slightly different to the rest maybe a blue jacket or slightly longer hair or something And the three of them fight and eventually Ryan might win because he never does

+GT Mike91 well seeing as how Kylo Ren models himself after Darth Vader, and Darth Vader IS Anakin Skywalker...

Nicholas Seaks This came out WAY before Episode 7, like 4 years and 5 months before. Technically he's fighting like Anakin, he even has certain movements and attacks that practically mimic Anakin's from his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Look at the video date dude.

How is it that two nerds in a garage can make an infinitely more engaging, visually impressive and character driven fight where they never heard a single line of dialogue before or afterwards where Disney utterly *fails* at making so much as a visually interesting fight despite being able to pay for choreographers, 'professional' actors and and editors who likely cost a hell of a lot?

Better than actual Star Wars fights.
@jiristudnicka945110 жыл бұрын
It's completely original fight, but it's not better than Obi-Wan vs. Grievous, Obi-Wan vs. Vader (On Mustafar) - simply all fight from Prequels.
@Azrael0959 жыл бұрын
Jiří Studnička Obi-Wan vs. Grevious fight would have been much better if it was longer. Kenobi just disarmed his opponent almost instantly and the conclusion of this fight wasn't very spectacular since Grevious was shot instead of having been killed with a lighsaber.

Better than any thing episodes 4-6 had to offer. But not as good as any thing from episodes 1-3.

I so agree with you man. I love seeing people from around the web make their own star wars light saber fights for some reason. So much cooler

four years later and this is still the most epic lightsaber duel on the web. Out of curiosity, Ryan Wieber is this all free style or are these actual forms of lightsaber combat?
@RyanWieber9 жыл бұрын
I don't even know where you would look up "established" lightsaber "forms". Just like Nick Gillard said of the real movies, saber choreo is just a big blend of anything and everything. Any adherence to forms that somebody previously codified is entirely coincidental.
@jackgiggal9 жыл бұрын
There are stances and certain movements depending on the are you look with the book of Jedi being the best bet but nothing concrete in terms of lightsaber forms the real question you should be asking is where can I donate to make R V B & D happen in the coming months
@ParagonInfinity9 жыл бұрын
Ryan Wieber There are 7 forms of traditional lightsaber combat. Shii-Cho, Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, Shien/Djem-So, Niman and Juyo/Vaapad. All 7 forms are unique in their own way and all Jedi specialise in 1 or several of these forms. Obi-Wan for example trained in Ataru whilst under the guidance of Qui-Gon (Very noticeable in Episode 1) and after his death opted for Soresu, the most defensive of the forms. Count Dooku was a Makashi user, the dueling based style, and Anakin was a Shien/Djem-so master, focusing on heavy power attacks and swift counters to the opponents blade. In short, yeah there are predetermined lightsaber stances and styles and nearly all jedi/Sith follow one particular style
@Joni_Tarvainen9 жыл бұрын
narutosneaky Indeed, and basically all forms are usable excluding Force-section from 'em of course. For example I use Soresu mainly as I have to be kinda stationary in combat (I'm on wheelchair), but I adapt Shi-Choo attacks and flurrys on my offensive and mix some Makashi for exhausting duels. Where for example my brother uses Shien and Djem-so (could say that also Vapaad as he gets so deep into the battle when he duels) basically all the time, runnin' and jumping and trying to overwhelm opponents before they can defend ;) So yeah, they're usable and effective. (Tried against my friend who practices traditional swordsmanship)

Christina Black Ya, there's established forms from the SW universe, but I've never been able to track down what they actually look like. All I've found is text descriptions of them and their strengths/weaknesses. However, if one were to extrapolate from existing martial arts in order to gain an idea of how to best use a lightsaber, your best bet would be to start with either Japanese Kenjutsu or European longsword fencing. Those swords are closest to the lightsaber: they are long-bladed, cutting AND thrusting, and they don't have much in the way of hand guards (why DON'T lightsabers have handguards anyways? XD).

john mellor I don't mean to be rude about him, but does that mean that he does better in Lightsaber duels? Cos the guy's lost every duel on KZbin he's been in.

Not bad! But seriously, Ryan, is there a single lightsaber duel you actually win? LOL
@ck21211 жыл бұрын
to be fair, in most movies bad guys win if fought fairly, so for the good guys to win *hence the blue lightsaber* some miraculous thing will let them win in one move
