I personally love more buttons… feels like being inside the cockpit somehow ❤❤

The new interior looks good, but it is a step back in ergonomics. All functions apart from cabin and seat temperature were already on the screens but they are now down an extra level in the menus. So you can no longer change driving mode, or turn off driver assistance functions with one action and that takes your eyes off the road for longer. Also, I personally felt that the rotary climate controls were a nice quality touch-point in the cabin. And the surround camera system, welcome though its return is, is a £585 option. Up until the 21 MY it was standard.

The minimalist design of the centre console is aesthetically very beautiful but also feels vulnerable. If for any reason the screen fails to light up.... 🫢

Looks really smooth but why car designers going down the entertainment system info we’re you control everything through this . Surely glancing down fiddling with air con etc is 100% distracting and taking eyes off the road

Matt. Good update. And yes Range Rover really have got their act together. The 'reduction, minimalist' design language works. Even now when i see a 'new' Range Rover Sport takes my breathe away. A real head turner. Looking forward to your 'review' to new 2024 Mini and Countryman. Cheers.

First review I saw from the 24 Evoque…I have one from 20 and this car is really nice looking and luxury inside…I think this facelift is nice and the interior is looking so great, but I’not so sure without buttons from AC is the right thing…of course I have to change settings from AC occasionaly and this can be no big deal…looking for this to come soon to Brazil…unfortunately, we would not get the hybrid P300 here

I have this model. You can use the talk button and it turns your ac to what you request. The buttons also slide up and down from the first screen it really is so simple to use

I do not like that new cars have all the controls on a touch screen. Yes it looks cool style wise but I think it is distracting and dangerous. I can understand why as it will be cheeper to produce and update. I am looking for a new car but all those on my short list have these touch screens which puts me off. This car is at the top of my list but like others on my list the lack of knobs spoils it for me.

Let’s be honest, Tesla had this minimalist interior design years ago, now the rest of them are emulating it. Personally, I prefer the satisfying feel of a good quality switch or button, but I’m not the one trying to cut costs. 😮

Would have bought one if it had the F Pace climate controls and mode controls etc. No way touch screen for those.

If its just like the older one then for me the older one was better , sorry but I am one of those that actually prefer proper buttons and dials esp for simple things like heating or front and back screen heater , I preferred the vogue looking interior and to me looked more futuristic with the second screen. Why or Why do these manufacturers insist on getting rid of buttons and dials , I really dont want to go into menu after menu for the simple things esp seat heaters etc . I think RR should of concentrated on fixing the diesel engine issues with oil dilution etc
@clairewilson55128 ай бұрын
It's actually a really good design. You press talk on the steering wheel and say turn the temperature to 20 and it does it all for you. It's also a simple slide up and down on the screen it's very easy to use

@@clairewilson5512 it’s not just that it’s the fact where the buttons were it’s now just blank they could of at least place something there maybe wireless charging or something , also those voice activation is ok but when you have a Yorkshire accent sometimes doesn’t recognise it
@clairewilson55128 ай бұрын
Well I'm from the north east and it's picks me up no problem. Where the buttons were mine does have a wireless charging pad and it's also hidden storage. These reviews wind me up as it is actually a modern sleek design and I'm not sure why so much negativity it put around the dials being removed

I would love car shows to consider this: there is a huge market for used cars. How about reviewing how reliable and maintainable cars are after 3 to 5 years. Sure it requires more investigation work, but how many people do you know that has ever bought a brand new car... we all buy used.

I want to buy a Range Rover in June for my Bday in July am so scared because too many car thieves, nice SUV like Range Rover should have high security on doors and streeling wheels, start linking cars to police, so police can find cars after it been stolen asap. Can't be spending so much money on cars for thieves to steal and sell overseas to other people. Police are not doing enough. Also dealers and manufacturers company that make these cars need to do more on security on cars.

Yes. It’s great until the centre console fails like mine did then you can’t control sh1t with this car and back to the dealers for more work. I spend so much time in the dealership they have a coffee cup with my name on it

An interesting review but in fact, this is a 2011 car with a very minor update but already out of tune with 2024 thinking where physical buttons are returning as screens do not work for the manual job of controlling the car and it’s driving functions. Why change things?….because we get bored and like change…but good change…do it does not need a host of creases and slashes nor a huge ugly grille…it needs inspiration. It happens that I was sitting in a brand new Discovery Sport just yesterday and it is fine but no real improvement on my 2017 version..but my fully loaded all option HSE Luxury Black has vastly more equipment that is just not available now. It makes it hard to WANT a new Evoque/DS even though it is a good car. I did have a Service Loan 2023/23 Evoque R Dynamic HSE recently and…well I’m not sure about the interior being “beautiful”…there are a lot of hard scratchy plastics and the clothish seats were a disappointment to see. It was alright but I did think I had the basic car rather than the top specification. Now I am a JLR fan for 14 years so these are not words I want to write but JLR has lost its way on the smaller cars…neglected in favour of the top end where…well the new RRS looks rather dumpy with a peculiarly awkward rear and very heavy looking sides. I like Land Rover…but they have much work to do with the current ranges…we need a totally new Evoque/DS…a completely changed Discovery and don’t let the Defender get old and out of touch! 🤔🤔😬🙂🙂🙂🤔
@timgosling6189 Жыл бұрын
The 2019 update this car is based on was substantial. It was a totally new platform without even one panel common with the original. Even the wheelbase is longer. But I agree doing away with all the physical buttons is not an improvement.
@HQBProductions Жыл бұрын
@@timgosling6189 Yes you are right…it s a different car technically but to most eyes, looks near enough identical to the 2011 one. As I say, it was a disappointment when I drove it…the interior is nothing like as well finished and ŷes, the flabscreen is a flawed idea in far too many situations.🤔😃
