No excuses for Miami. Boston didn’t get any in 2021 when the Nets beat an injured iteration of that year’s Celtics in five in the 1st round. Oh, wait, I forgot - most NBA fans, analysts and personalities can’t stand Boston and will find some reason to hate on the Celtics even if they win the title over Denver and Tatum averages an efficient 35-10-5 in the Finals. Lol. Edit: I’m not talking about Ryen, by the way. He’s one of the few who truly seems to be objective.

Minnesota is playing very strongly right now and the Nuggets have not looked spectacular even in their winds over the Lakers so I think I degree given that Minnesota seem to be getting better and the Nuggets aren't I'd also pick Minnesota

Russillo's role this year is to keep Dollar Bill Simmons under control with the Boston stuff. Peyton Pritchard has a chance to be six man of the year. The Celtics might go 12-0 in the east. Tatum is an MVP candidate. etc etc etc They are a very good team, the ultimate analytics team. Get 40 threes up every game and with this roster statistically you will win a ton of regular season games. But they suck at situational basketball. Tatum regularly craps in the bed in 4th quarter. Guys in the league know this. This is part of why he is a career 2nd or 3rd team All-NBA. Super talented guy, but no MVP. No one who ever gets punked in the big moments has never win and never will win an MVP. Sorry, Bill. I actually feel sorry for Tatum because of they way guys like Bill have tried to shoehorn him into an MVP. At this point, we know what he is, and it is clear he is not that guy. The Celtics are two built around 2 really, really good players. Both of them are career 2nd or 3rd team All-NBA guys. They are super players, sure. But they do not have an MVP or a first-team All-NBA guy. Hence, the closing issues. Then there is the coach who sucks at situational basketball. And guess what? The nba playoffs is all about situational basketball. No closer and no coach is not a good combination to say the least. They might be able to overcome this and get to to the finals. But without a coach and a closer and due to nature of playoff basketball where anything happens, they are not going to dominate the playoffs.
