This is the first song of the trilogy and it portrays his defiant phase of his addiction. He doesn’t want people in his business and he’s not ready to change. The party theme of the video illustrates his mindset. Also, the girl wearing silver represents a spoon and the black tar represents heroin. You’ll notice he elevates right after that. And the glowing eyes will show up in the other trilogy videos as well.

Once it was over it hit me that that's what the black was and what she was doing. I wasn't 100% sure if that's what his addiction was or part of, but now I realize what all he's kinda gone through and what these were about. I didn't want to Investigate to much on him and maybe ruin some things on my end lol thanks for clearing it up tho. I appreciate it.

Any "gimmicky" that Ronnie does is always with a purpose... whether he's trying to capture the atmosphere of an era as he experienced it (like he does with his triology), whether he's poking fun at the mentality of others or his own or he's hamming up the goofiness of the lyrics of his older songs to offset the depth that the song is trying to convey (like you see with his decade old songs "The Drug In Me Is You" and I'm Not a Vampire" which he totally redid using the same lyrics in "The Drug In Me Is Reimagined" and "I'm Not A Vampire Is Revamped"). The older versions of his songs did not effectively balance the goofiness with the depth he was trying to convey, but his reinvisioned versions masterfully accomplished just that...with a whole hell of a lot of showing off in "I'm Not A Vampire Revamped" I highly recommend that the both of you do that journey to well round out your experience of Ronnie Radke and the amount of talent as an artist this man has as well as how much growth he has made as a human being. A two part listen of both the original songs followed by the remakes would be an amazing reaction I would personally love to see you both do. Pretty please with a cherry on top? I swear to you, you won't be disappointed! 🍒🤘🏼

The image of the girl spewing the black goo into his mouth symbolises black tar heroine the girl is the spoon because she's wearing silver. Him ascending is him being high

I feel like the melodine used on theese three songs is a reason for the sound he wants, its the electronic sound it gives, because its the 80s/neon theme. The triology is maybe my absolute fave songs from them bc of the story, both in lyrics and video, and mix of sound. Great reaction!! New Sub! :)

So...I know you've seen Prequel now. Did the part when he is in the sky remind you of this video? My opinion is that most of the videos on the Popular Monster album happened while he was in this dream starting with this video and concluding in Drugs where Willow says "You've been asleep for a very long time". Also, 2033 comes up in the triology as the tombstone and on the plane he jumps out of in Watch The World Burn. Another tie-in in my brain is all of the neon aspects in the videos in the background and the neon in the triology.
