The members are all in their mid 20's and they've outgrown their past styles of music. Shut Down sends a message that they're changing directions, Tally is an early example as are the other tracks on Born Pink. Being part of the BP community means being part of their journey. I'm looking forward to where they bring us next. And BTW, Tally is about as anti-kpop acceptable behavior as it currently gets. There've been other k-pop songs that have played around the line but Tally obliterates it. I'm personally curious as to what effect it will have on the k-pop industry and whether other edgy artists (e.g. Jessie, GIdle, etc.) will pick it up and run with it.

I hear ya, but haven't (G)I-dle and Jessi been doing it for years. I mean, "Drip" came out 3 years ago and actually (G)i-dle does it in other ways with concepts and occasional curse words. Also or many years, Bibi has been making music that explores all kinds of edgy themes and employs curse words. I love BP and consider myself a Blink but they are way, way behind the curve on provocative themes and lyrics (unless you count Ice Cream, which is not a serious song).

Tally, Typa Girl and The Happiest Girl are really outstanding tracks on this album. They show very different sides of Blackpink and some stuff never seen before from them. I really do hope that if they decide to renew their contracts next year they'll be given a lot more of control and onewership over their own music and careers.

They have a two-days concert on LA on the 17th-18th on the Banc of California stadium and it will be their last stop in the US before they start the Europe tour, this is their second world tour and it will be the biggest world tour by a girl group breaking their own record for their pervious one, they are selling out stadiums with 55k-60k capacity in literally about five minutes, i’m so proud of them

I saw them in LA on the 20th (the actual last day of their US tour) and it was awesome! They still brought it and even though I had shitty floor seats and could barely see them, I still had a good time! I’m thankful to have seen them at Coachella too!

This song is definitely a concert fav. I went to their concert in Newark NJ for DAY 2 and when I say everybody sings along to this song word for word especially the CHORUS !!!! It gets loud ! This song is a fan fav for sure and makes people feel so empowered❤. Also, this is the clean version but there is the explicit version they do sing normally just a fyi.

I was so surprised when I first heard Tally. They were talking their ish and I dig it!

To understand the girls is quite easy. I have been here since the beginning as I am a huge fan of YG artists. So far you've only listened to BLACKPINK but the YG artist list is incredible. When they launched in August of 2016 it took them 13 days to achieve their first win and then went on to have the ALL KILL. which means every single music chart they smashed and were labelled as MONSTER ROOKIES. Within the first 6 months the haters came out and let me say that these ass wipes nearly destroyed them. Jennie and Lisa in particular got dragged in fact they are still getting dragged. Lisa her sparkle was fading and you could see it they attacked her and her parents. It was awful to see Lisa was quite passive but something happened that no one expected they released DDU DU and they took off internationally they went on a world tour with only 9 songs so impressed where others that the owner of Coachella went to South Korea to personally invite them to perform there they were only 3 years in. Not only that they got the number 2 spot on the billing. They smashed it and they did both weekends. They have had to wade themselves through the shit that was thrown at them. They've come out stronger bigger and universally loved. LISA is the international IT GIRL. She is loved by everyone her collaboration with DJ SNAKE OZUNA MEG THE STALLION IS EPIC. They've also done collaborations with Lady Gaga Cardi B Selena Gomez and Dua Lipa. Jennie has been cast in the upcoming HBO show Idol with the WEEKEND To be a fan of any YG artist you have to have patience they do not believe in saturation of the music charts when they release their artists smash it and every single one of them is wealthy unlike the other agencies

Also blackpink is one of the really few acts in kpop who use curse words on their songs because in south Korean when a song has swear words the song wouldn’t be played in the radios, music shows and these stuff but blackpink have reached this point where they don’t even care, they will get the numbers and streams no matter what they drop

It's not a slow song recommendation, but it IS sultry AF: Ice Cream collab with Selena-please-have-my-baby-Gomez. It's written by Ariana Grande and it's (shocker) a banger. I believe) I believe it's still their 2nd highest US chart single as well. The whole track was created off of the very first sound you hear when it begins, which is highly unique, too. Robert Barone would def feel kind of naughty after seeing it ;-)

They dropped the F bomb in Pretty Savage but it wasn't the "official" lyrics, but when they've performed it live Jennie drops in the "fuckbois" lyric and every single person cheers. The only irony of this song is that their lives are SO tightly controlled, it's almost cruel to make them sing about doing what they like when if they did behave like this they would be in *so* much trouble with YG.
