Kyle, I love Ben's voice too, and always have. Don't be ashamed about wanting to cry. Ben Burnley has a very distinct way to emote the emotions of the song through his voice. It's one of the reasons I've been a fan of BB since they first came out over 20 years ago. Also. This song is a little heavier in the sense that I can pick up maybe a little Metalcore influence in the song. So good.

I went from I Will Not Bow then to Dance With the Devil. They’re just great, kind of heavy but sort of a…peaceful sound? Like we’re both resentful and sad at the same time, beaten down and bruised, but we’re gonna just keep hanging in there. That’s a bit of what Breaking Benjamin means to me

The emotions this song evokes are indescribable. From the lyrics, his voice, the arrangements, the guitar solo, the ethereal background vocals....it's been on repeat for the past 4 days. My birthday is Tuesday and my husband surprised me with tickets to see them in Dallas! I saw them here in Indiana in September and I was on such a high afterwards. I cried 3x when I found out I get to see them again.

This song makes me feel like it’s the second part of Dear Agony. He’d lost all hope with his diagnosis and went through the mental anguish and everything was dark in his life. This song is him dealing with that darkness and pushing it aside because he’s seen the light and found a reason to be happy again. Fuck his songwriting is phenomenal!

Watching Kyle react to stuff that really hits him hard is transcendent, and the willingness to show that vulnerability to others is so admirable. I always listen to anything new while I'm alone in my apartment bc I never know what might make me trance out and/or sob, but honestly it's beautiful seeing it in someone else. I made the mistake of listening to Ren's Seven Sins for the first time on the way to a doc appointment a few weeks ago and people could probably actually see my soul leave my body, lol.

I have listened to this song like 10+ times now and only now with your reaction I pulled up the lyrics as well. And I saw and noticed the (Awake) harmonies at the end.
