@tensazero5 жыл бұрын
I KNEW IT!!! I've been speculating for couple years!!! It all pointed to something like this. I wish they made it brushless... and the blades metal. Plastic bends and deflects so CFM could have been potentially higher. Maybe even 20% higher and/or less drag on the motor, increasing run time. If it's 20mins on a 1.5Ahr; then wouldn't that be just over 1hr on a 5Ahr?
@ToolReviewZone5 жыл бұрын
Yeah that sounds about right. It really didn't even make a dent in the 9.0 that I was using so that's a good thing

According to one of the Ryobi engineers I worked closely with to resolve a couple of issues that the smaller hybrid fan had, the official, corporate pronunciation actually IS Ree-Oh-Bee. That is straight from the horse's mouth, friends. Pronunciation case closed.

I was really excited when I saw this. I have a 24v Kobalt fan that absolutely kicks ASS, but this takes things to another LEVEL! The only, minor issue it has is that it is a piece of crap. It's junk, for $240. I see people selling used ones for $40 and NOT selling them. It vibrates.. a LOT... Like a ridiculously unbalance fan would. It also produces about HALF the volume that my much smaller Kobalt does. I am no longer impressed. They designed a beast of a fan. Then they built an unbalance, weak, poor performing bit of junk. I don't understand how they went so wrong, but they did. It's not even just a one bad apple thing. They are all unbalanced. Oh - and the Kobalt was a hybrid - 5 years ago. It's super efficient - a 4Ah battery will run it on HIGH for nearly 12 hours. I keep it on 110v in my workshed, then pop a battery in when doing abrake job in the driveway. It pushes serious air, it's about 3 years old and works the same as it did new - infinite, rheostat type speed adjustment, and yes, you can hang it on the wall, the handle is part of the housing, and it swivels 240 degrees. Moves

@@Whitchhunter666 it's a hybrid design, such that it can use 18v battery or 120v Mains power. Rather than installing 120v to 18v adapters in all these devices, just make one that has a battery stem and allows us to plug into the wall with pretty much any device.

$140? ouch. I can get a top of the line Vornado CR1-0089-16 Heavy Duty 293 Shop Fan for less than that. Sometimes a lot less during a sale. Not sure the cordless makes it worth it. Anywhere I'd go without power, I'd run out of batteries in 1/2 a day.
