*100% best **Generater.Systems** I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.*

Every generator is different, and it also depends on the load you are putting on it. This generator will run 10+ hours at 25% load, and at 50% load, it can run for 7.5 hours.

great video...one tip...Ive worked on dozens of these for surging and stalling...the fix is almost always the line from the bottom of the fuel tank to the dial control from factory is too small and after about 100 hours they collapse right where the line exits the fuel tank in a fairly sharp bend, cutting off the fuel delivery by half, resulting in a frustrating surge condition...I have five of them and all of them have done this and Ive modded them all with larger line and have hundreds of hours on them problem free...the carbs do clog and the idle jet is usually the culprit but hopefully someone will read this and discover what I did a couple years ago when I got my first pair for my rv....and everyone I know who uses them frequently has had this exact same issue eventually which of course I always fix for them in about fifteen minutes lol, cheers man!!

Thanks so much for posting this! I was about to order a new carb and I figured I'd give this a try first. Worked like a charm. Didn't even pull the carb all the way off. Just pulled off the breather tube, took off the stud nuts, pulled the carb off the studs and leaned it over to where I could take the throttle control solenoid plate off and and get to that jet with a screwdriver. In fairness, I think I was just a choke cable and fuel line away from having the carb all the way off, but the fuel line spilling gas all over everything is the worst part half the time anyway so, score. Took a wire brush filament and some brake cleaner to it and done! Took maybe 15 min.

I have had to this 3 times, granted I've got very quick at it....but if anyone would know why it keeps happening or a way to stop it, please post the solution. I use top tier gas and Sta-Bil 360 for storage, but keep having to clean this one jet on a regular basis after usage. I'll try a better fuel filter to see if that helps.

Good tips to know on the surging. I use stabilizer and sometimes a dash of marvel mystery oil in the oil and gas. I just passed 400 hours on mine this week. Snow storm had our power out for 6 days and the Ryobi ran non-stop the entire time (144 hours) while powering selected items in the house.

I did not see what the number was. However; if you are feeling brave you could use some tiny drill bits to just barely seem out the one that's there. (I did this with an 80s motorcycle that was lean from the factory and I was too cheap to buy a jet kit).

I put it all back together and it is still doing the same thing. It does have a new spark plug so I dont think that Is the issue and I checked the fuel filter and also sprayed it with carb cleaner. No Difference after all that. Im not sure what else to do. What do you think it could be? Any help appreciated thank you!
@northlander1948
@northlander1948 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony, you can likely rule out compression and spark. That leaves you with really only two problems, fuel and air. If there’s nothing obstructing the air, then it is a fuel/air ratio problem or (most likely) a fuel problem. The other thing that may cause surging would be fuel delivery to the carburetor. The switch/knob on the side of the machine that changes it from prime to on and off may be restricting fuel. I would make sure the carb is getting plenty of/the correct amount of fuel through that knob mechanism.
@anthonymarquez4563
@anthonymarquez4563 3 жыл бұрын
@@northlander1948 thank you for your response! I had checked the air filter and box last night and didn’t see anything obstructing it. How would I go about making sure that the carb is getting enough fuel? Should I adjust the cable that connects to the knob? The weird thing is that if I put it closer to choke it runs a little better but it bogs down from time to time acting like it’s not getting gas.
@northlander1948
@northlander1948 3 жыл бұрын
@@anthonymarquez4563 if it’s running better with partial choke on It’s defiantly not getting enough fuel, make sure it’s full of gas and that it is running from the tank to the knob freely, then from the knob to the carb freely. If you cleaned ALL the jets and soaked the carb, then adjust the air/fuel screw if it has one. There is also an electronic solenoid that controls the choke, make sure that’s not incorrectly adjusted in some way. Other then that, not sure what else it could be without looking it over. Keep going through the process of elimination. If all fails, throw in a replacement carb if it’s not too expensive. Your time is valuable

@@northlander1948 I’m not sure if it has an air fuel screw, I don’t think I saw any other screw that was on the carb other than the jet on top of the carb. I think I may try and buy a new choke.
