I’m thinking that the 21” is the better choice for me. I really appreciated this comparison.

I like the sticker for cutting height that will eventually come off. Nice touch Ryobi, couldn't put indents in the plastic at least?

Great video thanks! So for a larger lawn would you go for the 53cm option (that includes the cross blade) despite only being able to use one battery at a time rather than the 46cm model that can use both batteries for more power and longer run times?
@ryobitized Жыл бұрын
Hey Chris As I was saying on Facebook the 53cm would be the way to go if you can, You have the wider deck (Less Passes) and don’t worry about the power. It has plenty especially with the cross cut blades. The Self-propelled is instant and switching the key to use the other battery is not an big issue Hope this helps ✌🏻

Would of much preferred to see the test done on a thick lush grass rather than and test match cricket pitch

First thought is aching thumb using the self propell

Thanks for the video, but maybe for a mowing video a yard with actual nice fresh grass that needs mowing so we can see how they perform not mowing weeds and flowers, hard to tell how well they cut grass when you don't actually cut any.

Thanks for the review perfect just what I was looking for. How hard is the 53cm to manoeuvre ? Most of our yard is straight mowing but there is some manoeuvring to be done around gardens etc.

Hi. Thanks for the review. I am currently running a petrol mower and would like to go Ryobi electric but wasn't sure which one is best for me. This clip (pardon the pun) has helped with that decision, thanks. What is the cleaning like on them? My self propelled petrol mower has all the normal cleaning issues. But in addition, the self-propelled housing gets clogged up with grass which has to be cleaned out after every cut and it is a real pain to do as I need to be either laying down on the ground or lift the mower up onto stands (which is not getting any easier to do)..

Hi mate, the 53cm has a 1000W motor where as the 46cm has a 1200W motor. Do you notice that the larger mower is less powerful? Is there any difference in catching performance? And is not having the manual controls of the power settings on the 53cm annoying?
@kimuoi8511 ай бұрын
Can you provide a reference for the 46cm having a 1200w motor? I can’t seem to find anything online. And is the 1200w only if there is a second battery inserted?
@ryobitized11 ай бұрын
I have actually noticed the 46cm does seem like it had more power but I never had looked at the specs, that’s good to know and confirms my thoughts I honestly wish there was a mix of these 2 mowers for several features with the power modes being one of them
@kimuoi8511 ай бұрын
With the 46cm HP model, do you know if adding the second battery will actually increase the power? I am hoping to have an electric that can scalp couch for a height reset but it seems like most electric mower just aren’t strong enough
@ryobitized11 ай бұрын
It does help with the second battery and recommend the 46cm for getting lower to the ground for scalping the lawn

Do you think if could actually scalp couch ? Might not have enough power …

I have before you just have to go over it maybe twice to get the shortness you want

Hi, just wondering if you can use a more powerful battery with these mowers? I know it comes with a 36V 6.0AH Battery but I saw Ryobi also sells a 36V 12.0AH Battery separately. Would the 12.0AH be ok to use?
@ryobitized Жыл бұрын
Any 36v battery will work in the mower, will just give you longer runtime with a larger one
@dancollins833811 ай бұрын
As stated the 12AH will fit but the lid won't be able to close

It would be better to see them on thicker longer grass. This is a very thin grass
@BlastMikeitzmike Жыл бұрын
just out of curiosity how is the build quality in the handles ??
@ryobitized Жыл бұрын
Handles themselves are built strong but the foam on handle of the 46cm starts to break away

Until they're tested over 10 years against the costs, reliability, range etc. associated with something like a Honda HRU, which is similarly priced, we won't know how good they are.

Would like to have seen the test done on some lush thick grass rather than a dodgy Indian test cricket pitch 😂😂😂.
