I just bought this tool today. I needed something compact to work on an LS4 engine still in the car that had stripped out head bolt holes on the block firewall side. I was able to repair the threads with this drill and a few time sert inserts. This item was phenomenal in doing the job quick and easy.

I've already got the original One+ right angle drill, so I can't justify this one -- yet. I'll probably wish that I had it the next time I'm trying to work in a tight space. 😎 I don't mind the lack of a belt clip, but I do mind that there's no bit holder. I have the new drill/driver and it also doesn't have the bit holder. That means when switching between bits, the supplied dual ended bit can easily be misplaced.

The optimal work for this right angle drill is cabinet contruction or for H-vac zip screws on duct work or on the furnace panels etc. Also would be great for finisher carpentry like door hinges or kitchen cabinets etc.

This is probably the most powerful compact/brushless right angle drill on the market before other brands come out with their own. I would assume Milwaukee would do one, but they released that installation driver with multi head attachments instead.

Instead of buying the right angle drill, I bought the 18v Ryobi JobPlus Oscillating tool and then bought the Rigid JobMax right angle drillhead and right angle impact driver heads to use with it. All 3 heads can be removed and reattached at 90° increments making it more versatile to use in tight places. My brother has an original blue and orange Ryobi right angle drill. The battery base rotates and locks at 90° increments. I can't understand why Ryobi didn't retain the rotating battery base when they went with the green ONE+ tools. The only problem with my JobPlus is that when the head is rotated the power trigger is no longer lined up with the tool head position. But it is still a bit more versatile.

But I saw Project Farm's video... it this Ryobi HP is definitely on the powerful side. Maybe the lack of power is the right angle thingy?

🤣😂🤣 I have been there before! Why is it not going in? (Smoking) Oh I'm a dumby...🤣😂🤣 This is a tool for plumbers, electrical, a/v, comms, ac, and security techs. You might only use it 1 to 3 times a year, but its the only thing that will get into the corner! #betheredonethatgotthetshirt I agree the belt clip should be included in each tool.

Yup. One of those moments. 🤦♂️

It's a specialty tool that probably will be used less than my regular drill. But I'll still get it just in case.

I was taught to let the tool do the work.

to be honest, I'm pretty disappointed in this review. you are using the tool not as it is intended. Are you ever going to use a hole bit with this tool? doubtful, and if you are, are you ever going to have enough space to put all your weight on the tool, to get that downward force that you were demonstrating? no. in a confined space, will you be able to get both hands on the drill? If you want to properly demo the tool, why not drill a few screws between two 6 inch studs? or if you are working under a kitchen sink, or on something in your car. or anything where you have limited room. I don't think many people will be using this are their primary drill/driver, but there are situations where a regular drill won't fit, and that is why you need something like this
