Nice review but I feel a little too critical on certain areas... I say this because I have the Ryobi one system and so far all the tools have been spectacular....for the price you pay compared to some of the top brands you can't beat the value

I bought another Ryobi drill 20 years ago. The two original batteries are still going strong. It is only now starting to fail - sometimes it won't start up without a swift bang on my hand which I suspect is due to brush wear. Based on that experience I bought a P1811 and am quite happy with it. I use it maybe a couple of hours a year which is light use but just what I need rather than paying big $$ for a Dewalt, Milwaukee or other units intended for professionals. As to the EMI interference, is this a portable radio or one that is plugged into the same outlet as your extension cord? It may be due to conducted noise not radiated making the problem a bit less severe. As to the light at the end of the drill. I find this to be somewhat of a gimmick, especially if you using the drill to remove or install screws. When working in a dark area, you would like the light to illuminate before the drill starts to run so you can see the screw head. It is probably good for drilling holes though. Anyway, very good review.

I took mine contractor and it with my 3 speed impact and hammer drill all ryobi and they held up

How has the drill performed as of now,and what have you used it for?

I've had the drill a little over a year now and I'm quite happy with it. I have used for for various projects around the house (some of which I've made videos about) including drilling wood and metal as well as using it as a screw gun. I had trouble with one of the batteries not taking a charge but it was replaced under warranty, no questions asked. They let me keep the defective battery and I found a way to revive it and make it accept a charge again so now I have three batteries.
