Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well kzbin.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.

Do I need to use the pump protector if I don’t plan on using soap with my pressure washer? I’m a little old school I like to use a bucket with my soap.

Definitely, the pump protection is because your using water not necessarily for soap. I would use it regularly after every use.- Mike

When you use the soap tank, is there a switch to go between soap and fresh water for rinsing or do I have to use the whole tank of soap before the fresh water is available to rinse?

@MrSPM-h6s Hello, no, there isn't a switch to go from soap to fresh water, so you have to wait for the soap to run out before it goes to supply or hose water. Good luck with your project!- Mike

When you use it with the soap; how do you wash off the soap? Do you take the soap dispenser off? Or do you use it all until it empties out?

I've done both- you can take the soap container off by taking off the hose and emptying the soap into the original bottle or use the soap till it runs out- it uses soap quite fast so the second option is easier. - Mike

I don't see where you are able to reduce pressure. As in on soft old redwood decking. Many suggest 1200-1500 psi - even less. Is there a dial to dial it down? Does turning the water down change psi? I have purchased a 15" surface cleaner head... maybe that diffusion takes care of it...?

There's no manual reduction of PSI. Using the different nozzle heads seems to change the PSI of the water coming out( diffusion). Using the Turbo nozzle seems more forceful than the general wash nozzle. You can try using it from a farther away distance, also. Good luck with your project!- Mike

How do you put the nozzle attachments on and take them off. I have the high pressure one on and it appears to be stuck! Any suggestions?

There is a locking collar, so you have to pull back on the outside collar while moving the nozzle in or out. Once the nozzle is all the way in, you may have to pull the collar back towards the nozzle if it doesn't retract by itself to lock it in place. Good luck!- Mike

Where can I get a hose with a quick connector that will fit the end of my Ryobi 1900 psi pressure washer wand and have a quick connect on the other end to put jetter attachments?

I would check an Ace Hardware, Home Depot, or Lowe's- some home improvement store should have a quick connector. Amazon.com may have what you're looking for. - Mike

One website mentions a similar Ryobi model giving off 77.6 dB to the user and 62.2 dB at 25ft away. This is slightly better than the noisier gas powered models that average in the mid 80's dB. - Mike

Hello, you have to pull back on the outside collar while pushing in the soap nozzle- once it's all the way in, you may have to pull the collar back towards the nozzle if it doesn't retract by itself. Good luck!- Mike

I usually just put some soap in the dispenser and let it run out, or if you don't use it all, you can disconnect the tube at the bottom, cover the hole and pour it back in the bottle. It uses the soap quickly, so the first option works out the best. Good luck with your project! - Mike

How is the soap used. I didn't get the explanation clear. Because I don't see any type of hose to the soap

The soap goes into the plastic bottle on the side and it feeds to the power washer through a tube leading to the power washer. There's no on/off for the soap so once it's in the container- so I just use it all or dump it out before storing. Hopefully this answers your questions.- Mike

As I understand it, the soap is concentrated and the washer dilutes it at a ratio of 20:1. It seems pretty chintcy that Ryobi didn't add a little on-off valve so that you could stop the flow of the concentrate when soaping is complete.

@@georgek719 100%! This is a HUGE flaw of Ryobi and the main reason I do not like this unit. The tube is not long enough to disconnect and reconnect easily.

The trigger handle won’t attach to the spray wand

At the 1:09 mark in the video, I show how to attach the trigger handle to the spray wand. You want to line up the two outside tabs from the spray wand with the indentations in the trigger handle. Slide the wand into the trigger handle end and turn clockwise or counter clockwise, this will lock it into place. Good luck with your project!- Mike
