I have this. It's great so far! Have done my siding and a garage door. The luggage style handle and wheels are useful when it's hooked up to a hose. Otherwise, yes it's very light... I'd guess not even 15 lbs.

Excellent! I don’t recommend using the Turbo Nozzle on your car as it could remove paint if you’re too close to the surface.

I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. kzbin.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.

Use cleaning vinegar (6x stronger than regular) from your big box store for your moss and weeds. Mix with a little dish detergent in a pump sprayer. Works like magic

Thanks for the info. I like using vinegar to clean some surfaces. Just keep in mind it is a bit harsher on concrete than bleach.

My gasoline pressure washer uses 3 gallons per minute. The reason I bought this washer is I don't have to go looking for fresh gasoline and having to worry about changing oil in the 5hp motor. My Cat pump can't be left standing running idol for over 2 minutes. It has an unloader valve that helps circulate the water. The oil in the Cat pump is non-detergent. You need to change it out about once a year. I can live with this electric pressure washer. It is small and powerful.

Nice video. I was hesitant and wanted to buy this unit but heard it wasn’t powerful for pavers. After watching your video, I’m definitely going to give it a try. Hopefully with a good detergent/ solution I can get great results on my pavers and driveway.

Worked well on our concrete pavers using the turbo nozzle. I helped a buddy power wash a driveway of all concrete pavers last year and we used gas pressure washers (2800 psi). At 2800 PSI some of the pavers lifted off the ground which created more work. We had to screed and reseat some of them.

I had it for about 4 years and I must have used it for 5 or 6 times and I used filtered calcium, lead, drinking water First the design is funky. I have never used any of the attachments just the nozzle and the T attachment. The started leaking and I couldn’t use it anymore. So I had to toss it in the recycling bin

This week I purchased the Ryobi 1900 PSI pressure washer. I'm glad I got that one. It works really well. My driveway looks brand new. What I would like to find is a good soap that I can use in a foam jet. I would like to find some that will put a heavy coat of foam and remove all the road grime. At work I used to use some on my company car. It was made by Champion Paper Company. They would mix 3 5 gallon containers in a 500 gallon vessel and fill with water. I think the water pressure from that pump was over 3,000 PSI. It really did a great job with cold water.

when using the soap tank, is there a bypass allowing me to use soap , then switch to fresh water? is it always soap coming out until the soap tank is empty?
@BruceAlanR
@BruceAlanR 4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, because it is a downstream soap dispenser, there’s no bypass. If there’s soap in the tank, soap comes out. I should have added that to the product’s shortcomings. The manual says it can be converted to an upstream dispenser; however you need to contact Ryobi to get parts to do it according to the manual.

Of the "5" dislikes, only one really pertains to this washer as the others would pertain to ANY pressure washer out there. Water use, noise, messy ... I wouldn't count those as negatives to this unit itself.

Is the soap optional or required for operation? My Mom's didn't use soap and some smoke started showing during the 2nd use. Any clues for causing the smoke? She said she turned off immediately.
@BruceAlanR
@BruceAlanR Жыл бұрын
Soap is not required. I rarely use detergent in the pressure washer. Smoke is never a good sign and could be electrical (power) or mechanical (pump motor)… or both. I’m guessing the unit also smelled hot? If an extension cord was used, check that it was the correct gauge since an underrated extension cord or not enough power in general (if other things were using energy on the circuit) would put strain on the pump motor. If the unit is underpowered or there is a blockage somewhere (pump, hose, wand, nozzle) that would cause overheating. It’s really important to make sure all the water is out of the unit before storing it. I always turn the unit on its sides for a few hours to drain/dry and then run the storage solution through the pump to keep the pump and seals healthy. Since it’s only her second time using it, I’d suggest returning it or if it’s still under warranty contacting Ryobi. Good luck!

I just picked this model up from the Big Orange Box. Specifically to prep 85ft of peeling painted fence for painting and because it had wheels and a handle. I have mobility issues so anytime I can get an appliance of this size on wheels I'll do it. Pulling stuff around beats the hell out of stumbling around trying to carry it when it's hard enough to balance me on my own two legs. Let alone extra weight more that what my belly has!😂😂😂 Do do think you are being a bit harsh on the criticism about those ivy roots. Those roots have grown into the wood and most of the time leave behind tracks of the root. I'd think the application of stiffly bristled brush along with the appropriate elbow grease should take care of the problem, but that's not why we bought a pressure washer for; to have to go back and exert more physical labor to complete the task. That's working harder not smarter. Awe forget I even said anything. Have a nice day and thank you for taking the time and trouble to put yourself out there and helps us understand. Peace.

Ha! Fair point regarding the climbing hydrangea roots. Other than gouging them out of the wood, they’re not going anywhere… in fact, they’re still there (two years later). Glad the video was helpful though. Let me know how the power washer does cleaning your fence since scrapping and staining a leg of our fence is on my to do list for this summer. 😃👍

That’s a tough question. I review items to merely share my experience using them and try not to make recommendations; however, in reviewing tools, I try to demonstrate what they can and can’t do in an effort to make it easier for folks to determine whether it meets their needs. For example, for removing mold, mildew, algae, and moss from patios and stone work, this model works well. It’s not as good at removing lichen from wood surfaces. It’s also good for washing the car and car mats. Hope that’s helpful.

@BruceAlanR
@BruceAlanR Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend this pressure washer for non-consumer/business use. This model is good for light cleaning around the house. A business would be better off investing in a gas powered model. Gas models tend to have higher PSI (2800-3200 PSI) and can power through large jobs quicker.

I'm thoroughly confused now. Was looking at the Ryobi 2,000 PSI pressure washer but this one seems a better build. Two questions- Can the Ryobi pressure washer foam blaster gun be connected to this and can I use my normal Pinnacle car washing soap with this?
@BruceAlanR
@BruceAlanR Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delayed response. To answer your questions, the foam blaster works with the 1/4” quick connect of this model. I haven’t tried it so I don’t know how well it works though. As far as soaps/detergents are concerned, you should only use products marked “for use with pressure washers.” Also, keep in mind this unit releases soap in 20:1 (water:detergent) ratio so if that isn’t optimal for the product, I’d say not to use it.

So you're saying that I can't get rid of heavy weed population from the interlocking at 1900 psi?
@BruceAlanR
@BruceAlanR 2 жыл бұрын
It will blow out weeds and moss with the turbo nozzle; however, it won’t be as efficient as a higher PSI model. I was using a Generac 3100 PSI, 2.4 GPM, gas powered model the other day (big job) and it was so powerful it was cutting trenches between the pavers and brightening them up (without soap or chemicals). Unfortunately it was also so powerful that at times it lifted and shifted pavers, which meant reseating and recompacting them prior to using polymeric sand.

Indeed. It’s definitely slower than using a 3200 PSI gas powered washer. My buddy and I did a loooong paver driveway, patio, and walk in a few hours. Unfortunately it was so powerful we had to reseat pavers because they lifted and shifted. For the DIYer though, electric pressure washers will get the job done… just not as fast as you’ve said.
