I had the stihl 86 vac and even the gas power isn't that great. I'm sure these things are not worth it. The pole saw is AMAZING THOUGH

Mine was delivered today. Is easy to assemble. Worked fine. I didn't attach the wheels. I figured that was better so to get the nozzle right on the ground. Plus it allowed me to rake the ground with the nozzle to get leaves tangled in the grass. I already had a Ryobi mower so I didn't need to buy a battery. Normally after I mow I have two lights left on the battery. After doing my yard with the vac only had one light left on the battery. When I use it again I'll try to set the power as low as possible to see if that saves the battery.

Thanks for your review. It does look weak but at the same time, if it was too strong, it would also suck up rocks and break the mulching mechanism.

better review than others i've seen....real world......other reviews i saw was ideal perfect condition so it worked like a charm.....great review...much more realistic for future buyers...ryobi might not like your demonstrations though

I'm thinking, it would be better to rake the leaves into piles, then vacuum them up.

That would help. For me, getting into beds and hard to reach places was the original idea for this, so I didn't have to use a rake. The tool has some uses, and I will probably make a follow-up video this year on another niche use I've found for it.

I think it would have worked much better using this in the fall when the leaves have just fallen, after lying on the ground all winter and being packed down by rain, wind and snow not going to work as good.

This is a good point, and I do plan on a follow up test under "ideal" conditions. In the Northeast, we usually get rain as soon as the leaves drop and they get matted down pretty quick.

You neglected to mention the battery and charger both come separately bringing the total price at Home Depot w/tax to over $400.00.

No good on wet leaves. I blow them into the yard with a blower then mulch them with a gas mower.

I'm pleased with mine and I'm an anyone. While it's not very useful out in the yard, it's great for sucking up leaves that collect on paved surfaces like the patio or deck where a lawn leaf collection system or mower can't reach.
