It's been a while since i've saw a popular shonen and tought that the heroes might not win in the end. The series so far has been proving Sukuna (and to some extent Kenjaku) right. So many characters seem like Sukuna foils that are just meant to make his static characterization more interesting for the themes of this series. Jogo was proven wrong by Sukuna because he (Jogo) tried to compare himself to others and claim some very vague tittle of "true human". Meanwhile Sukuna doesn't care about tittles or large macro colletivist ideals. When Sukuna was shown to be a "honored one", just like Gojo, it was narrated and NOT declared by Sukuna himself (in contrast to Gojo that said that to himself). There is no way someone like Jogo could reach Sukuna's level. Yorozu was proven wrong by Sukuna because she tried to teach him about love thinking that her idealization of love would fit him. Sukuna wasn't missguided or needing to be teached about something. Sukuna's form of love for others is to kill them, his power is all he can offer. Gojo was proven wrong by Sukuna because he was too conflicted. How could Gojo reach Sukuna if him (Gojo) was unsure about himself? Gojo said that he wasn't alone, and yet also says that he couldn't make normal connections with people because his power made him draw an invisible line btween himself and other people around him. At the end of the fight Gojo felt a bit glad about being defeated. By overhyping Sukuna in his deathdream, Gojo could cope and make himself looking more ordinary and abandoning the tittle of strongest. Strenght for Gojo only brought suffering, but for Sukuna it did not. from a narrative standpoint i can't see any way for Sukuna to be defeated when it comes to ideals. Sukuna embraced his role as the strongest and he only lives for himself.

Kashimo isn’t a fraud in my eyes,just got done dirty. He fought Hakari(The immortal) with zero hesitation and at the end Hakari admits he would have lost if they kept going. He had a natural sure-hit attack without CT or a Domain Expansion. You can’t easily block his attacks (unless your sukuna or gojo) because his cursed energy naturally damages over time with a stun effect. He is smart and creative with his abilities (deadly gas from the ocean) He was almost speed blitzing a weakened meguna (which even if meguna is weakened he is still a very dangerous powerhouse that only like 2% of the verse could even stand up too) and forced him to go full Form sukuna so he wouldn’t die. Kashimo’s CT is effectively the 8th gates from Naruto and forced Sukuna to have to spam an entire wall of the (currently) strongest attack in the verse to end the fight quickly. To me this shows kashimo may have not lasted long but he was no bum,simple got done dirty by GeGe like many others (cough cough gojo,yuki,and more)

Like think about it…I’m pretty sure at the state he was in after his fight with gojo, Higuruma and Itadori were more then enough to transform him into the Heian era form.
