It is a nice stadium and we needed to move from Griffin Park… I’m glad we didn’t get a generic bowl. I’ve had a season ticket from League 2 to the Prem and still can’t believe where we are (still prefer the lower leagues - but enjoying the journey while it lasts )

@woddy1uk10 ай бұрын
@@georgeeffraimidis5610 ah I go to games, so it’s a different vibe .. The Prem is “nice” made for tv /plastic/soulless etc etc I’ve seen CR7, Haaland & other “superstars” play my team live… I’m just a customer in the Prem easily replaced.. where as in the lower leagues you feel valued and it’s a different connection, when there’s only 100 odd Brentford away fans going to the arse end of nowhere for a night game - just my opinion of course :)

Just a couple of small points……….The seats are in different colours, not to make it look ‘full when it’s empty’ but with other matches, ie. We had London Irish Rugby, and FIFA World Cup matches, so different colours make the stadium brand ID more neutral. One more quick point, the capacity originally planned was 23,000, but the North stand was reconfigured to give the premium seating areas more space. I can assure you, the match day atmos is absolutely banging, the DNA of Griffin Park was transplanted very successfully…..it’s always as near as full can be with only a few spaces ….. you’d be very welcome for any match day I’m sure………..after any win, the home fans remain to sing ‘Hey Jude’ then our special version of ‘Free from Desire’ reworked to ‘Wissa’s on fire’…… excellent vid and thanks…….HerzyBee 🐝🐝🐝🐝

Another great video mate .Brentford is my local team and my auntie used to live next to the old Griffin park stadium the Wall was at the end of her little terraced house and her toilet was in the back garden ,,,lol I never under stood why they didnt make the Gtech twenty thousand seater with FFP you need the increased revenue to be able to spend and compete .
@RysFootyParadise11 ай бұрын
Very cool mate I bet that was class as a kid growing up! The guide said something about the limited space and how those few extra thousand seats would be a drop in the ocean financially compared to tv revenue etc... But I agree with you - why not at the end of the day income is income and if Brentford dropped out of the Premier, there would be more emphasis on revenue sources such as match day tickets

It's quirky,completely unobstructed view of the pitch from all four sides (which makes it vastly superior to both Griffin Park & Craven Cottage in that regard) it has superb concourse facilities,is well connected to the public transport network...but....but....the capacity is restricted to it's wedge like location.I dont think it can be expanded so the amount of ticket sale revenue it can create is limited. Interesting to note that London Irish RUFC groundshared here up untill their withdrawl from the professional scene, it would suit a second club coming into groundshare, maybe London Broncos RLFC because of their shirt colour,though they now seem to have settled nicely at AFC Wimbledon's new ground
