Even myself I used to despise them alongside their team because they used to be relegated every how and then until I saw their 2021/22 Europa League campaign and their 2018 DFB Pokal Final agains Bayern is when I discovered how strong their fans were. Till that time I do feel they are better even than my favourites - The Dresden, The Borussia Monch and The Schalke04. But apart from the Southern Region, the whole North and East Germany has a very strong fanatical fans and ultras.

Couple things to add: - you said the upper tier of the "Nordwestkurve" (the home stands where the Ultras stand) was also good: it was reshaped last year, before then it had been seating area, now it's all standing section just like the lower tier, adding another approx. 5k spots, which helps even more with the atmosphere. - Within Germany, Frankfurt is not underrated for its fans anymore. Even though we won the Europa League 2022, I'd wager outside of Germany, we might still be a super underdog. But ask Barccelona fans how they liked 30k people in their stadium, shouting about how without Frankfurt fans, there would be nothing going on :D - to that: Frankfurt has a bit of a unique fan thing going on because of the citizens of Frankfurt: In the "Kurve", you mix the blue collar jobs next to bankers, lawyers and CEOs (if they aren't sitting in the cushy seats of Business area), and it's all Frankfurt. Comes with the attitude of the city: no one outside likes us, we're all different, but together as one. - and as for the sportsy side: Frankfurt used to be pretty successfully on the national and international cups in the 70s/80s. Not constantly, but regularly. And then they didn't win anything for 30 years, coming close to winning the Bundesliga back in the early 90s and then nothing. So a whole generation grew up on them actually more close to the bottom, or even going down and up with the 2. Bundesliga. And then slowly in the mid 2010s you had some changes, focusing on younger foreign players, competing in the cups with the "we can win ONE game" mentality over and over. And they cultivated buying young players cheap, forming them and selling on for a profit. But that also means rebuilding constantly. Their current success is just amazing for those of us who have been there through misery and 2. Bundesliga and all that.

Yes, but it is only recently that they have become a force. I started following Bundesliga way back in 1998 but I never heard anything of important about Eintracht Frankfurt let alone their fans. But they're a really a force and since their 2021/22 campaign, I love them almost as my idol super fans from Monchengladbach, Schalke and Dinamo Dresden

Within the last ten years this has changed to a more moderate but nonetheless extremely committed fanbase. Also very active agains far-right politics, which is amazing as well.

They won multiple back to back trophies including the UEFA Cup/Europa League in the 70s and 80s. Early 90s they were Vice-Champions multiple times. 1992 they lost the league to Stuttgart on the final matchday. They were always a big force going through rough years - just like Schalke or Hamburg now.

Frankfurt Deutsche Bank Arena is a great stadium and the atmosphere is great also the jumbotron is making the spectators getting information about the players and is contributing to the atmosphere also the Ultras fans are great and how they go back and forth between Dortmund fans and Frankfurt fans very impressive also I don't hear about problems like hooliganism in Germany maybe there are severe penalties if the fans would derail, all in all very nice indeed 😀

When you talk about training grounds: Did you know that several training sessions in Germany are usually open to the public? Usually not the last ones before the match, but before. You might check that out for Bochum and a good chance to have a little chat or photo with a player after the training. You need to check for Bochum, but most clubs do it, e.g. both Hamburg based clubs do this. PS: Apfelwein is Wine from Apple while cider is closer to sparkling wine from apples, sometimes mixed with something else. PPS: Another funfact is that Frankurt is "leading" the table of the most penalties for the Ultra´s pyro shows. Well deserved, I´d say ;-)

Really enjoyed your Video. As a long time supporter and "Dauerkarteninhaber" I remember playing home against West Ham in Europa League. I stood at the Fence, when the West Ham Supporters came out after losing against us. After the yobbos were out who basically just shoutet "wankers" at us and one guy presented an Israel-Flag to provoke us and was obviously surprised that this didn´t work - not knowing, that Frankfurt was called the "Juddeclub" in Nazi-Germany, having a special credo on politcal tolerance - I had a real good talk with some adult fans. One of ´em said - and I quote: "you´re a great club - I wish, I were you right now. English Fan-Culture is going down the drain. I mean - I get in here for a tenner and I get all this ... amazing". I´ve heard this a lot from english fans and didn´t go to England to an away match, yet. But I´ve always admired english atmosphere for their creative chants. You won´t find that here. I do see, that it´s a different tradition. What´s your point of view about this?

"We have to be able to compete with other Clubs in Spain and England - therefore we have to maximize profit and international marketing." is what you hear more often nowadays. I personally believe, the clubs are for the people in their homecountry and especially in their hometown. I don´t care, if 5 Million chinese, american or arabian people watch my club on the telly.
