Live stadium tour at Shrewsbury Town Football Club 👉🏾 THE NEW MEADOW 🏟️ This was a bit of a spur of the moment stadium tour as I was heading back from filming a video at the Welsh Premier League Champions TNS and was passing Shrewsbury ...thought it would be rude not to pop in and take a look! 🤩👍🏽

It was the Chief Executive Liam Dooley who had let you in for a look around… Arthur Rowley is indeed the all time Football League top goalscorer… I think his record is 434 goals and most of those goals have been for Leicester City and Shrewsbury Town in the 1950’s/1960’s…

My club! Bit of a struggle just staying in League One these days and the football is so often very dull just trying not to get beat, but they’re hanging on in there and new investment is desperately needed. But despite having said that you should still come for a game next season, head for Block 9 in the safe standing section (the first safe standing section in England) and possibly meet up with the South Stand flags guys there, and also head for the Prince of Wales for a pint before the game where plenty of interesting of old STFC memorabilia is on show.

went to the old gay meadow ground 79 i think it was with the river seven behind on of the stands there was a guy who had a conicle he used it to fish the ball out of the river seven neve went to the new one the old ground was a little gem why do we lose all; these great grounds replaced by these mecano jobs thanks again steve

Also the artificial pitch near to the foundation/shop facilities… the women’s team play their home games there and the foundation use it for their coaching programmes. It has also been the home of Shawbury United in Non League (Midland Football League) this season but I think they are due to move to a new ground in Shawbury itself very soon. The first team train on a separate site at Sundorne Castle (next to Shrewsbury Rugby Club) a few miles away.

With your tour of championship and league one stadiums and living where you do is there a possibility of visiting the south west? I'm an exiled brummie in Devon and Home Park had a stand designed by the great man Archibald Leitch.
