Ryu’s SFII is good for conveying Ryu’s origin. Japanese, tradition, etc But this tracks seems so…unbounded. It adheres to nothing but the challenge, the drive, and the will to overcome one’s greatest fears and obstacles. It’s not just the theme of Ryu, it’s the theme of battling your greatest opponent: yourself.

This is my favourite of Ryu's theme, particularly this version. The layers really represent Ryu. R1: Calmness and focus. R2: Intensity and fierceness! R3: Evaluation of both R1 and R2. Like TheOSTLobby KZbin said, this song needs to be recognized outside of this game. He even has the Joudan in Smash, ffs!
