Have you ever noticed that the real Mario 3 doesn't have any slopes in most of its level types? That's why MM2 has to use awkward sloped blocks in levels like the first played. I believe only Hill type levels, Desert type levels, and Cave type levels have slopes. Standard levels have the wood floor with no slopes. Water levels have blue blocks without slopes. Pipe levels and fortress levels have grey blocks. Cloud levels have clouds. Underwater levels that aren't in another theme all have strange floors that never slope. We all think of Mario 3 as being the first with slopes, but they are fairly uncommon in the actual game.

I have an idea for a level premise basically a heaven and hell thing, for above world and sub world in the above world, you can trust getting powerups lying around, but bosses that drop keys to powerup rooms are traps, but in the subworld, visable powerups are traps, but taking them from bosses' key rooms are ok. something to mess with ryukahr's trust system :P

I think people who make levels like the first level should be required to regularly complete the worst garbage ever made to maintain access to online in SMM2. A punishment for punishing others with boiling garbage - moist and hot garbage combined. Give them limited lives and overall time and if they fail, they lose all online SMM2 access for a week and then need to beat 2 of the worst levels ever made next time. That'll stop the garbage. That or just make too many boos delete the level to make the boo button actually do something... something it should already do.
