I never thought about that. No matter how difficult a level is, the creator has to beat in one go. Except if they are lazy and put a convoluted dev exit, but that's something else.

It's also an interesting concept for a level with checkpoints that you have to beat in one go....uploading it would be painful though. You'd have to go backwards to get the key, and do the level without dieing after you get the key from each checkpoint. Wonder if anyone is insane enough to do this lol

This buttclencher stuff is great. Other levels like to just go balls out impossible, but this one takes ridiculously hard techniques that require skill at the game and give them bite sized to the player, so they have a chance in hell of beating it, and most importantly it rewards you for being good at the game! Fantastic stuff.

@@KingBoo97 What he's getting at is that there needs to be a progression from easy to hard, but in Mario Maker we tend to get a lot of ridiculously easy, a lot of hot garbage, and a lot of ridiculously hard, and not much in the middle. It's not that the others are bad, it's that there was a need for this and his hard work met that need.

Luigi's colour change was because of the water. Under water, there's a slight blue filter over everything. When Luigi dies, his sprite just appears on top of everything, so he's no longer affected by this filter.

Say what you will about the Butt Clencher series, a lot of people thought it went too commercial and lost what it means to clench after butt clencher 3, but I think the time he took off to create Ryuween really took the whole butt clencher series to another level with the finale, hitting all the high points from 1 2 and 3 while incorporating the better elements of the less memorable versions. 9/10 would clench again.

so many things to like about this video. 21:34 going from fast forward to slow motion. great levels. especially liked 3 and the finale, but changing the theme and music throughout the saga worked really well. I'm not sure but I think the finale used the same bits from earlier levels but made them harder? raised the stakes. I love it! also bonus points for no trolls like kaizo blocks, but I have to say I was expecting a surprise falling icicle towards the end somewhere after seeing so many static ones. a really minor nitpick to an otherwise great set of levels. nintendo needs to add an un-boo option for sure.
