Ryuken Ishida is the last & final pure blooded quincy within BLEACH, that is until the TYBW arc and the return of Yhwach and his quincy empire. In this video I breakdown and analyse the mystery surrounding Ryuken, including his disdain for his Quincy heritage, his dysfunctional relationship with his son Uryu, and his friendship with Isshin. Episode 40 heavily implied how Katagiri may have taken an action into saving her son‘s life. That way she’d be Uryu’s heroine. Similar to how Masaki died protecting Ichigo. Which would make Isshin and Ryuken connect more on a personal level hence the cemetery scene. Soken was worried about Yhwach’s return and left some sort of contingency.

The problem with with current state of the story is there's too many characters on the same side against yhwach, while yhwach's team has like 4 characters left. Its hard for everyone to get a fight. Idk what kubo is cooking tho.

Yes Ryuken & Isshin arrived surprisilly early in TYBW Cour 3 before even TYBW Cour 4 started, but can't wait to see more of Ishida & Ichigo's dads in the Soul Society, everyones reactions and Isshin's reaction to Ichigos new powers and seeing Aizen again. Hopefully Isshin uses his bankai against Gerard in Cour 4. Visored aren't redeemed yet either. We still need to see them do something in Cour 4. Love and Lisa need to use their bankai against Gerard too. Hopefully the next we see them, they haven't just been defeated off-screen.

The visards were redeemed, lol they're all there amd are able to use their hollow masks against Gerard. Stop acting like we need a cinema level fight from the visards, them actively doing more is a redemption itself. Im not even a visard fan since i hate how limited they're when it comes to fighting. They can't fight with the hollow masks as freely as they want due to the ban on them using it.

I don't think there's a place for Ryuken and Isshin against Gerard. It's probably going to be divided in two stages already, one against the Vizard and another against Byakuya, Toshiro, Kenpachi and Soi Fon. Ryuken and Isshin could, however, fight Jugram (and lose ofc, they're losing no matter who they face from the remaining enemies). That way, Jugram can have a much needed flashy battle since his only one is against Tenjiro and he loses pretty badly there. After this fight, then Uryu would come back and they would have their back-and-forth ideological battle that would end in Jugram being Auswählen-ed.

That Isshin meet Ryuken at GY scene definitely Kubo's . Only him can draw out the heavy feeling and emotion of character just from a few interaction and paneling. The raining is very symbolic and meaningful in the series. Also the unusual stern,sad face and silentness from Ryuken bring out the serious tone. It definitely to potray Ryuken's resolve to end the conflict and donning back his quincy's garment

I got it figured out! Gramps was somehow apart of the OG sternritters but didnt die during the invasion of SS. Idk if Hashbrown (you know who) went aswell and escaped or he didnt go to SS at all during the first invasion as a back up plan bc no almighty for Quincy boss. Maybe hashbrown caught an imperfect perfect glimpse of the future. Grampa Ishida and hasbrowns and maybe whatever survivors yes retreated to the shadow thingy and that’s where they planned to unseal big boss. Maybe gramps ishida isnt that old but and wasn’t there, but he might be over 1000 yrs old, he’s a pure bread. However he def helped hashbrowns unseal big boss. Big boss stretched and said what the plan was and how long they gone do it. He got exiled bc he wasnt down for the get back revenge on SS and later soul king. They didnt follow him bc idk. Gramps knew ashwaulen was gonna happen and tried to prep is sons bloodline somehow and now grandson got some super blood idk. Thats what i think most of core 4 is gonna be flashback on flashback on flashback. Just a theory.

I think dismissing the collapse chips plan as "destroying warwhelt to make Ywach fall" is completely accurate. As the warwhelt also is not simply just above Soul society and it is still in a separate space that is the reason why Gremmy's meteor did not hit the Soul palace first before entering Seretei's shakonmaku. There is no line in the manga Uryu was saying the "fall will kill Ywach". It more so implies he is gonna cause the "warwhelt to callapse together with ywach". It may imply it will collapse the warwhelt in like a "dimensional black hole kind of thing"

I feel like the best role for Ryuken within the existing structure will be in an extended fight vs Hashwalth. For Ishin, a role in the early part of Ichigo v Yhwach part 3. If we are adding new content though, I think adding in resurrected forms of the original quincy commanders would be the most logical new addition. In that scenario, we could see several new fights for various underserved characters.

I can imagine Deslock and Robert both show up at the palace to defend Yhwach and face Isshin and Ryuken as a means of stalling time, since on screen we’ve not see the death of either, especially for Robert in the manga. I still don’t think Gerard or Jugo’s fights will end in new ways than they did in the manga, their fights will stay nearly the same bar any fighting building up to that 1:1 end. And I think Ishida’s chips to blow Wahr Welt are still being used. Jugo has that scene wondering what he’s doing at another location, which is probably that orb they confronted each other in. Ishida was planning to blow the room and the throne above into it - whatever it is - believing it could eat Yhwach whole and rid them all of the threat. Or something else to do with that. But I do think that same plan in the manga of his set-up trap will be reworked and retained within the final cour, that Jugo reveals having undone in the middle of their fight.

Im telling you guys the fight with haschwalth will have isshin and ryuken involved, haschwalth is "killed" with Senjumaru's bankai by him being surrounded and engulfed by fire, and who else uses a fire based attack that is alive by this point isshin is the ONLY one, it is very probable we see isshin's bankai and ryuken's abilities for the first time, becuase remember all these following enemies apart from Askin are all killed by yhwach in the manga, and from the looks of it that won't be the case for any of these characters in cour 4

***THEORETICAL FLASHBACK, PLEASE READ*** I have been talking about this for a while now and I think that the silver obtained from Katagiri wasn't enough to make the arrowhead. Ryuken needed Masaski's still silver as well. Yes, I also want to see a flashback fight between Isshin and Ryuken. Of course this would initiate a fight Isshin is not gonna just sit and ler Ryuken dig up his wife. Thing is, they've been rivals for years and I really don't think Isshin and Ryuken are gonna start things off with explanations, they're gonna fight, yep, they're gonna fight. Because Ryuken is stubborn and won't want Isshin involved in Quincy affairs. However Isshin is hot-headed and would eagerly get in Ryuken's way, especially if the plan is to dig up Misaki. As I said before, Misaki should've also had silver within her, and after the two Dads skirmish, Ryuken explains. However her silver was probably tainted with hollow energy, so Isshin has to remove the silver instead of Ryuken. They take the two bits of silver and then forge the arrowhead. If the anime is doing more changes, they should make it so the still silver arrowhead was not only still silver, but also hollowfied, so not only does it paralyze and weakens Yhwach, but the Almighty cancelation comes from the hollowfication. That would be a mad cool twist to the end of the Yhwach fight.
