One thing for sure is that Aizen tybw with his kyokasuigetsu on is capable of defeating or having draw with almighty Yhwach who is without absorbing or using soul king powers and reason is pretty simple Yhwach before absorbing soul king never said he can alter the future he only said it after he absorbed the soul king but before that yhwach was able to avoid attacks or offenses that he sees in future(using 2 pupils) or neutralize attacks or offense before it reaches him(using 3 pupils) but after absorbing soul king yhwach was capable of rewriting his own death showing even if attack and offense reaches him their effect would be nullified in the future hence showing ultimate fate manipulation..

Aizen at this point is only bidding his time. Soul Society is on a timer especially with hell making itself known, once again a dark secret surfacing. Oh yes, Soul Society has reformed somewhat with Shunsui's guidance but it's possibly too late and the rot of nobles remains, quietly devouring itself. Aizen may still ascend to his goal of godhood.

Had Ichigo dragged his fight longer against Aizen then not even the Final Getsuga Tensho would be enough to stop Aizen. Aizen despite being nerfed by Mayuri Kurotsuchi is still able to use his powers. Aizen has already fused with his zanpakuto and not even Yhwach's Almighty can stop it.

I always thought, that Renji never actually reached the Soul Society for the final fight. All the time, Aizen was just creating illusion of Ichigo and Renji, as even Yhwach is surprised, how quickly they got there. And it makes sense, as they indeed didn't make it there yet. Ichigo only really arrived around the time, that Kyouka Suigetsu power run out.

Aizen's hubris definitely peeled away to show this calmer and neutered persona of his. If we were to take his zanpakuto translation in English literally and apply it, aizen might've seen his reflection in the water or mirror in a metaphoric way & reflected on himself. Who knows maybe he even spoke to kyokasuigetsu in his inner world and bonded even strongly with it. Maybe Kubo planned this journey of reflection & introspection for Aizen since the conception of the idea of his zanpakuto. Maybe reflection is the essence of aizens character at heart and maybe it has something to do with his bankai.

Agree with the assessment here, but how bout some food for thought. So Hogy Aizen during Deicide, every time he was nearly defeated/dead the Hogy brought out a newer and more powerful form in reaction to meet that threat. Who's to say that when Yhwach stuck his arm through Aizen's chest during the climax of that battle there, that the Hogyoku didn't also bump up his power afterwards? Obviously we're probably not going to see that represented while he's in his bondage suit, but I think that he'll be even more crazy powerful if we see anything out of him in the Hell Arc. I would have to assume the Hogyoku still works the same way as it used to. I have high hopes that the anime will extend his screen time once we get to that point, they've been doing a great job of that so far this season. And especially considering that by that point the manga was basically on crack speedrun mode.

At 7:41, I think I finally understood something. Kyoraku's fight with Lille. Maybe we didn't hear of the technique he did before because he learned it from Aizen. It's basically the same thing. It's like a clone, just your reiatsu. At least I think it makes sense. Aizen does it to Kyoraku, and Kyoraku does it to Lille. It's just that Kyoraku puts his own personal touch into it.
