I mean yeah she is a badass and comes back even more hardened from every beating she gets but... it is done too often. The characters keep mentioning how strong Ryuko gets but we dont see her curb stumping major enemies like she git stumped by a few major characters before. She never got to settle the score with sanageyama, she didnt get her win against satsuki during the school trip arc, none of her fights against the elite 4 during the tournament went "easy" as she kept her butt whooped even in the fights she won. I just wanted to see Ryuko kicking a major characters/villains ass without her being subjected to ryona fanservice.

I’ve never really watched the show subbed, but imo I can honestly say that the English Dub for Ryuko does a way better job at conveying Ryuko’s agony through her screams when she is taking a beating, especially at 0:44 and from 0:58 to 1:18

Also Ryuko must be one of (if not the) most punished characters in anime, she actually loses some of these fights, gets ground into mince meat but comes back as tough as leather every time, she is a badass

@@sarubet8725 she beats Nui pretty easily when she gets back with Senketsu, she also kicks Satsuki’s ass while possessed by Junketsu, and she does kick a lot of ass with some of the club presidents in the earlier episodes. I think it’s nice we don’t have an anime protagonist who just overpowers everyone because they’re the most powerful character ever, a lot of Ryuko’s wins come from her strategising and learning while she is fighting. her getting beaten around in most fights humanises her and shows us that while she is powerful, she is fighting people who have been training to fight way more than she has. I do wish we’d gotten a decider between her and Uzu before Nui’s intervention though.

@@drfabulous2804 yeah. I really wanted to see ryuko slapping around uzu after the humiliating defeat she got earlier. Also its weird to me how uzu is not satisfied with their rematch and considers their score unsettled lmao

Kill La Kill, you can watch it on Google if adult swim doesn't show it anymore (or yet) very good show, worth watching especially when you get the morale of it
