You might say Kid Icarus is an... incredibly hard game. Its pretty high up there on the difficulty level ESPECIALLY early on, 1-3 is no joke. But it's actually kind of weird in that you have the ability to make it easier as you go by collecting enough hearts to buy key items at the shops. But the journey to get there can be really frustrating.

For the troll level, why not just use the switch to kill the koopa? Have the Bob-omb block the one-way so you have time to set up a second boop. Seems easier than messing with note blocks, yeah?
