Yes, to more Battle Kid. Also, getting lost in Hallownest is a vibe. Sort of the entire point of the game. People have the right to dislike that aspect. But the game does everything it sets out to do and does it beautifully.

@danbrozo842 The game rewards eagle-eyed observant players, too. I've seen blind playthroughs where the player was never really lost. All the clues of where to go are there. I also feel like Ryu would appreciate it more if he watched the speedruns of the game. It's insane how optimized and skillful they are.

One thing about hollow knight; the thing you dont like about it sounds like you just dont like that style of metroidvania? Im not someone who thinks that because I think the game is brilliant that everyone needs to agree, but I think hollow knight nailed the old school metroidvania vibe, and I think that was their goal. That style doesnt vibe with everyone, and I get that. Super Metroid is still one of my favorite metroid games because of how little the game gave you in the way of direction. That is my favorite version of metroidvania, getting lost, forced exploration and discovery, etc; to the extent that I felt that most later Metroid games became more or less linear games with some backtracking, so Hollow Knight felt like a gift out of nowhere speaking to what I had been wanting for so long. You are supposed to get lost, because the greatest moments in that game for me come from stumbling into a new area when you feel like you have no idea where you are going. I'll never forget literally falling into deepnest for the first time. Or finally feeling like i was in the endgame before realizing there were TWO entire zones i had not entered or explored yet. All that to say, everyones opinions are valid, but I think that thlse moments were the intent of Team Cherry, and your issue stems from that kind of gameplay not aligning with your gaming preferences. Love your channel though, watch nearly every night with my kids, who are big mario fans.

Blue POW blocks destroy all enemies, coins, etc on the screen, red POWs destroys enemies it touches as well as blows up bricks and it starts a chain reaction if those bricks are touching other destructible blocks.

I really hate when the stoopid Diddy Kong dance interrupts that zen like chill music on those levels. Kinda wish Ryu would disable it on You Tube uploads. He does apologize for it in this video, but that is kind of pointless if he has no intention to do something about it. He could at least add a variety of different sub gift music. I also don't get why people have to spam it? If I were Ryu I would sure add a cooldown to it or maybe just do a bulk notice on the far right with smaller font and make that monkey more see trough maybe. IDK. anything would be better than this current nonsense.

MM1 servers have been downgraded so you have to try several times in a row to get it to launch. It's a huge pain in the ass so Ryu is just going for 16 lvl's in MM2 instead. He can also do that without worrying about the halt of the MM1 servers in April.

So I saw the Mario Kart Rainbow Road poll. Its been awhile since I played them so I had to look them up. SNES was a short and sweet race. Also I like the music even though it's 8 bit era. N64 was like a stamina course. Polar opposite of of SNES version. There was a lot of time for comebacks and fights with friends. If you could do the dash jump off the stage in the beginning and cut across the track, that was legendary. Double Dash was straight up horrible imo mainly becuz of the stupid rainbow elevator that just breaks all immersion. You're just sitting there doing nothing, it's so goofy. Got some nice turbo placements but then theres just spiral staircases you're drifting up or down. The Wii version is the best imo. It's got plenty of diverse turns to drift around, split paths, multiple boosts, jumps, and the best ost of the bunch. If I was watching live, I'd have to call Double Dash the worst. I think people don't like N64 cuz the level is long and if you're playing alone yea theres no enjoyable back and forth combat. I used to play that with my family for hours like every chance we got so that stage was just upset after upset.
