I'm so incredibly sad this format will end, it was by far the best way to make watchable mario maker stream content. Seeing someone repeat a level over and over without editing is just awful. I'll miss this dearly.

There's a sense of progress there, at least. Having ~99% of runs not make it past stage 3 and resetting due to something off-screen or just plain blind setups is pretty lame. This challenge had nothing to do with skill and is entirely based on level RNG.

All for another Mario Maker, but what I really want is a 2D Zelda Maker. Imagine bring able to make your own Zelda world and dungeons, bosses, puzzles. Been thinking about that since the LTTP randomizers started coming out.

I’m enjoying watching this challenge but I noticed some things that ryu does that often kills him 1.) treating expert speedrun levels like super expert speedrun levels. He plays it like the timer is super tight and makes a mistake but usually the timer is somewhat forgiving and he can afford to go slower. 2.) tries to speed run non-speedrun levels and just gets careless taking unnecessary damage, falling in pits, etc. 3.) trying to cheese levels that don’t need to be cheesed and dying as a result. Obviously this doesn’t account for cheap deaths like kaizo blocks, off screen thwomps, blind jumps, pick a path, enemy spam etc. It just seems to me that ryu can do a better job on limiting the deaths that are within his control.

I feel if they make a Mario Maker 3, they might finally add Super Mario 64 capabilities. It would be a great way of getting the game started into the 3rd Dimensional aspect of crazy levels.

@@mattf4313 Not saying I wouldn't be down for it because people CAN make stuff that's really awesome, but yeah making a 3d level creator is a different beast entirely, something like that is just hard to get into a "user friendly" form and Nintendo usually goes for relative ease of use.

Totally down for more Souls stuff any day of the week, I CAN'T stop replaying those damn games. Every time I'm like alright what do I wanna do and then I replay DS1, I'm replaying Dark Souls 3 for the first time since I originally played it like 2 years ago, and after being used to DS1 it's kicking my ass. Anyway, DS3 was the first Souls game I played by recommendation of a friend, and I went back to my OG save file just to check it out. What's funny is, because I was playing that blind and had never really seen much of those games before, I apparently NEVER FOUND OUT HOW TO INCREASE THE HEALING OF THE ESTUS FLASK lmfao, I got attacked by an enemy, and I was like, wtf, why is this healing so little? And I looked, and sure enough, I had 8 flask upgrade materials just sitting in my inventory, not a single one used. I had to have been getting my ass destroyed by that, honestly no idea how I even beat the final boss especially considering I'm not someone who's very good at the game. And to top it off, the weapon I was using just a regular straight sword, with underwhelming scaling.

I played DS1 > DS3 > DS2 > Elden Ring, I found DS1 much easier then DS3 but DS3 was my favorite of the bunch by far. That said, I did the same thing in DS2 with healing items...game introduced so many new items I stopped paying attention to them and finished the game with my estus at +0. I just assumed you were meant to supplement your healing with the lifegems and not fully rely on estus.

i think i've played DS1 enough that i'm over it but literally everything else is fair game. i've only played the other games once and missed tons of stuff in DS2, DS3 and BB.

@@WhiskeySins Lmao, glad it happened to somebody else. I've gotta play DS 2, but I've been putting it off cuz I'm slightly scared just based on what I've heard. But yeahhh, the potential for unknowingly screwing yourself over on your first playthrough with these games is high, heck, same thing almost happened again in my first ds 1 playthrough, I consumed like 2 fire keeper souls before I realized they could enhance healing.

I've watched your videos since 2015/16ish, but I've never seen the point in deathless runs like this sense you've started doing these about a year ago.. number one: it's pretty much impossible, number two:, you end it as soon as you die instead of actually seeing you progress with each level.. My brain just can't constraint on that, So I've stopped watching you live streams when it comes to deathless videos.. I hope you continue with other content so I can watch...
