This same system with the 3200g, is my system. I actually still get more fps in all games you tested, and for GTA 5, What I like to do is, change my settings to high-very high and lock it to 30fps, I get a consistent experience, been rocking with these for about 1 and a half years

I used to have a similar APU to this (3200g to be exact) so I can relate. For anyone looking to upgrade I'd recommend that you upgrade your ram first as, for me at least, increased my frames massively and made them more stable. It's quite a good APU for it's age.

I currently have 8gb of ram in my Acer Swift 3x laptop with the i7-1165g7 and intel iris xe max graphics which performs a bit better than the vega 8, the only limiting factor is ram so once I upgrade to 12 or 16gb, I'm sure it'll increase my fps by a ton as ram is always bottlenecking me

Those drops to 400 mhz is part of the stuttering. You can change that in the drivers. Force it to stay full power all the time. Or whatever frequency you want. It'll fix the games that were stuttering while doing it.
@Trick-Framed2 жыл бұрын
@Sota it's in the adrenaline drivers. A quick Google search will explain it but if you watch the video you can see the card dropping to default low frequency when the stutters occur via Afterburner. Once locked it won't drop the frequency to save power anymore, it'll run full power irregardless of what's demanded of it provided it's cooled well and not throttling.

I have a Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 and Nvidia GTS 450 that runs Valorant at those settings 100FPS+ so yeah anything should run it.

Things i wanted from this video. 1. GTA V to see Jack and see how is he today. 2. Cyberpunk 2077 because its something interesting to see weak hardware running unoptimized and heavy games and if hardware can run CP2077 at all it means all other things will be running mostly ok xD. I am happy that i saw both things :)

For next step, put one or two kind of GPU into to see how differently will perform. It's still a nice basic modern-modern computing experience.

MiniPCs with enough power BUT that are on a strict budget make me salivate. I want them all, it's just an irrational desire.

Hey Kryzzpy, try out the Athlon 3000G and it has a lot of headroom for overclocking the CPU and iGPU and it costs just 49 dollars!
