What about doing a Ryzen 5 2400G build with games from 12 years ago and see how they would perform if AMD would have released those cpu's earlier with the knowledge of current state. May you already know how they would perform but I care about results. Anyway stay smooth as always.

@elisedonaldson38937 жыл бұрын
Do you not know how college works? Its not like hes going and paying for college up front with pocket change. Theyre probably going with the help of scholarships and student loans, and when thats the case, you cant go spending hundreds of dollars on a gaming pc when youre already on a tight budget and dont want to go into any more debt than you have/are.
@elisedonaldson38937 жыл бұрын
But an average 500 dollar notebook is an easy expense to make. You can take notes and work on things away from where you live. There arent a whole lot of college classes that would require you to need a gaming capable pc. Even by splitting the difference and buying a 200 dollar notebook and a 300 dollar desktop doesnt make a whole lot of sense. Having something that is reliable, has good battery life, and is functional for 200 dollars isnt really possible. The cheap windows notebooks may be good on battery, but the trackpad is usually terrible and can seriously chug when doing basic tasks, and the reliability is no match for something in a higher price bracket. It would be idiotic to buy a desktop but no laptop in college. Oh and having an average smartphone isnt saying much. Everyone has an average smartphone. You even have companies like Metro PCS literally giving out 150 dollar phones for free. Additionally, a majority of people pay off or lease their phones over the course of 12-24 months. 15-25 dollars a month is much easier to do than a 500 dollar purchase.

Personally, I'd stick with a tablet before all that. But that's beside the point. This video was supposed to be a matching comparison- which it wasn't.

finally something from team red that gets me exited again, i have been running intel cpu's for years due to the fact that in gaming they are a winner across the board, when ryzen launched i could not get to exited about it because even with their lower entry cost as some one who likes to upgrade their pc over time i could not get exited for it because at the top of the line following the upgrade path you would not be near close enough to intel for me to justify the lower entry price ( i fully understand that diffrent people have diffrent needs from a pc and that people did / do get exited for ryzen, it is just not for me ) but with decent intergrated graphics that allows you to do more than just hook up a monitor for basic web browsing / word proccesing like with the intel intergrated graphics amd lowered the cost of a gaming pc that is able to run most games on decent settings / framerate by a lot as long as GPU prices are inflated, it is a real solution for people that want to dip their toes in to pc gaming without breaking the bank, saving a lot on needing to invest in a gpu when building the pc is a great thing and i hope this allows more people to expiriance the wonder that is the "pc master race", while i probably wont make a switch to team red anytime soon due to the fact that i have 0 need for intergrated graphics as long as they wont out preform my gtx 1080 or 970 i am happy to stay on team blue for the extra preformance in games that they offer on the highest end of the upgrade path, i am realy happy that amd finally in my mind has a purpose and i can actually recomend amd cpus again to people on a budget that are looking in to buying a new gaming pc. also quick side note to linus 5:45 intel does not hold the crown in cpu only tasks, ryzen actually out preforms intel in a lot of cpu only tasks, intel only wins in the single core tasks, as soon as things start to scale over multiple cores amd takes a huge leap forward

@jimmyjango52136 жыл бұрын
An FYI, setting it to 2GB or 512GB won't matter, as when the 'dedicated' portion of RAM is used up it uses the system RAM - which is the exact same thing. There is a really good techspot that demonstrates this with no performance difference (in some cases performance went up a few percent with a smaller dedicated VRAM portion) worth the read.

Still gonna buy a 1600. Is only 189.99 for 6 cores, 12 threads. This is what intel should be doing instead of accidentally killing their CPU's i mean, look at the value for money of the Pentium lineup and the 8400, those chips killed the i3 and i5 lineup in terms of price performance. Now the i3's have 4 cores, becuase if not what was the value of buying an i3 instead of a Pentium.

KCG - Kodie Collings Gaming R5 1600 is probably better. Should be paired with a GTX 1060 or RX 580. A 1070 would be fine too. @adityasixviandyj73347 жыл бұрын
DxalradoFTW Gameplay I also think going build like that, as my A10-5800K is currently using AMD GPU as well, but due incompatibility with the version (i use R7 250X), I disable the IGP. fro AMD Dual Graphic with my APU, the pairing is to HD6700 or HD7500, as I remember, is old too and not giving so much boost. that's why i use R7 250X as my GPU and turn off the IGP. those configuration able give me more performance that activating AMD Dual Graphic alone.. also another reason why I not use AMD Dual graphic with R7 250x... well actually CAN'T use AMD dual Graphic, is due architecture differences. A10-5800K IGP is still using TeraScale 3 (VLIW4) architecture, while R7 250X is using GCN architecture. basically, AMD Dual Graphic works if the APU and discrete GPU use same architecture... and I guess it will be same for Ryzen with Vega Graphic APU, which is maybe another reason why they not promote AMD dual graphic this time, as there is no Vega Graphic for lower priced level. but another thing i notice is my CPU less throlling and less having "not responding" issues which maybe due 100W TDP that our cpu had is not shared with IGP again, which give better performance at the end. Also AMD not announced what dual graphic GPU configuration that help this Ryzen APU, but as I think, maybe only Vega based GPU that supported, which in this time is impossible to get ones due crypto-craze (Indonesia get the effect too unfortunately), and VEGA is not available at lower prices spectrum.

@Joe_Rebel7 жыл бұрын
Guys tbh can we all just forget about brand loyalty? If you consider that getting away with less money spent for amount of performance is a great thing (especially in this capitalist dystopian world we live in), then we should appreciate the products (not brands) that do well by value. I know a lot of you have Intel and you naturally want to gravitate towards your brand but, if your brand isn't doing the best it can for what you need. It's time to re consider what you're doing. If you all pick and choose favorites, you're gonna be missing out on a lot. Instead go with what makes sense to you personally brand aside.

Screwing with beta bios and being unable to connect VGA monitor can be called interesting - just my experience with 2200G and A320M-HDV.

Are these better than Intel g4560+gtx 1030?

Free Gaming In terms of gaming performance, maybe not(by a very small margin) but in terms of price to performance, HELL YES. A G4560+GT1030=$130-$170 and a 2200g costs $100and performs very similar(perhaps 10 FPS less AT MOST, but usually 1-7 FPS less) in games and vastly superior in Productivity focused tasks. The 2400g will perform mostly the same as the G4560+GT1030 combo in Gaming but even more superior in Productivity tasks. I should also mention that the GPU takes no PCIE slots(only 4 less PCIE Lanes, less heat in case, takes up less space, perfect for Mini-ITX and other small case builds) and likely uses less power. In other benchmarks, these APUs are vastly superior in Vulkan games.

Both the 2200G and 2400G are better options if you want to upgrade the GPU in the future as G4560 is bound to suffer from stutters and unstable performance because it has only two real cores(2c/4t)
