From the dyno video it looked like the belt only comes off when the engine speed drops quickly. Use that video, and throw a spring tensioner in the area that you get slack. Should allow the belt to stay on long enough for the speeds to equalize.

Prochargers I don't think like bouncing of the limiter. Vice grip garage has one and it chucked the belt too

@@wheeln24-79 belts in general don’t like high load being cycled like that… look at Cleetus’ issues with belts on Leroy, boostedboiz with the 240…. That’s why new cars are starting to run one way clutches on alternators, so that they can run lower belt tension and keep the belts on. The spring tensioner isn’t a “fix” it’s a bandaid, but should work to keep the tension when the belt gets slack in the area that allows it to run off of the idler

@@jbw5485 I’ve actually never taken one apart to be honest, so I would assume it’s a one way bearing in the pulleys, but i first started seeing them on German cars like 10 years ago or so, and almost every car I’ve worked on now has one. I honestly don’t think I’ve had an alternator go bad in the last couple years that wasn’t a failure of the clutch in the pulley. 🤣

For the belt. Get a additional pulley on the crank, 1 belt one for the Alt, water pump and PS and the 2nd belt for Supercharger.
