I think the S4 would be able to replace my Tasty Chips GR1 granular synth ... but I would have to see 1. how projects are handled and saved (which the GR1 does terribly) 2. How granular is displayed and arranged (the GR1 does a great job there with an excellent visual feedback). I'd also love to know whether each of the four channels can be accessed via MIDI commands seperately - preferably on the SAME channel, not four, as MIDI channels are valuable and scarce. And I'd like to see a workflow: record, trim, save, apply effects and modulation (does it pitch shift?), play (also via a keyboard).

I think it would be great if you could put them on one midi channel or four. Many people would love to use the digitakt to sequence this device.

Funny I'm also looking for a replacement of the GR-1. it could sound great but the menus are terrible and yeah the file management is really bad. The other other option I've seen is the Tempera which seems like it has a pretty good workflow.

The real question I and most of your customer base have is midi implementation. There are not a lot of multi timbral devices on the market at the moment so many of us would really like that. If each track can be assigned different midi channels then I think you will sell lots of units.

I'm waiting for that in-depth look at this device before i pull out the credit card. Really interestedin the TS-1 too, might just get both after seeing that video of them paired. Only thing holding me back is "how does this thing work". I get glimpses, i know its awesome but its hard to justify $900 after seeing a couple 30 sec videos and a 2 min first look, you know. So many questions. First batch due in April, then maybe someone will put out a strong video review.

can i "abuse" that sampler for just play lets say a percussion loop on one track and it is automatic timestretched in realtime to the selected tempo? like in ableton?

how is the actual recording implemented? there is no rec button, is it only threshold recording? is there a CC to engage recording on a particular channel? can a channel be stopped/played back again without focusing on it first? on a side note, a couple of longer videos instead those nano-teasers would've been much much better, this approach you chose is childish and not bringing you more preorders, but less. opening preorders w/o any demo was bad enough, and now this..

PLEASE! Send a unit to someone like @loopop so we can see an actual product demo. I’d love to have one of these but like many others have said, we’re not going to drop $900+ USD for something we haven’t at least seen a 30 min demo of.
