Herzlichen Dank für dieses tolle Video und die spannenden Einblicke in die Entstehung der Stücke. Nicht nur musikalisch, sondern auch sprachlich ein absoluter Hochgenuss.

For me, Tangerine Dream was epitomised by the ‘Schmoelling Era’. Hearing these little stories fills in the many blanks in their story: Franke composed the melody to Logos 2nd movement and how the accompaniment is played correctly, who came up with the various parts of the introduction to Tangram…pure gold. Add the true harmony to White Eagle and I was in tears. Please bring SAW to the U.K.🙏🏽

I was at the Dominion concert in London back in 1982 (first concert on night, not second, but both were completely sold out). Please come and play in the U.K. again, Johannes!

My dear Herr Schmoelling. I respectfully request that you and the band come to the U.K. There are so many of us who would love to see S.A.W. play your music. As I mentioned to you 42 years ago now (!) in the scrummage after the Logos concerts, that evening was f….ing brilliant, yes, f….ing brilliant (!) … one of those moments in history where circumstances coalesce into some sort of perfection. I wish you, the band and your families all the very best. Sincere thanks from my heart for all those beautiful, perfect, musical moments that made a very special impression upon my life. Nigel

That would be fantastic. I would love to see them play in the UK.

Dieser Part von Logos ist wohl das schönste Stück elektronischer Musik, was je geschaffen worden ist. So oft gehört, zahllose Vinyls verschlissen und immer noch verzückend. This part of Logos is probably the most beautiful piece of electronic music ever created. Heard so many times, countless vinyls worn out and still enchanting.

Auch jetzt, nach so vielen Jahren überkommt mich eine genussvolle Gänsehaut, wen ich die Anfangssequenz von Tangram höre. Zeitlos -großartig- für die Ewigkeit! Even now, after so many years, I still get goosebumps when I hear the opening sequence of Tangram. Timeless - great - for eternity!

Well, I certainly hope there will be a live concert CD/DVD released from these shows.

Accidentally, the KZbin algorithm offered me this video yesterday. Being a fan of Tangerine Dream - especially the time when Mr. Schmoelling was involved - and living in Munich... guess what ticket I bought today 😁! BTW, the venue is just a 15 minutes walk from home. Perfect 🥳!

Sounds like it's going to be a great series of concerts - JS your albums over the last 10 years or so are getting better with every release 🙂

Wonderful little insights into music from the albums which were my introduction to Tangerine Dream back in the 80s. I'm currently listening to Johannes's solo recordings and love it when motifs from these early recordings appear within the songs. Even now in 2024 I can listen to Tangram and Logos, and get the same joy as I did all those years ago.

Fascinating, could watch these trips through history all day. IMO JS gave TD their true sound IMO. Will always be a hero. Can't wait to see you on stage again x

My dream would be to see Johannes Schmoeling , Chris Franke and Peter Baumann together as ' the real Tangerine Dream ' for one album . Anyone agree with me ?

I look forward to the follow on statements from Kurt, Robert and Andreas, but would absolutely love to hear more from Johannes like this (especially, but not exclusively from his time in TD).
