Séamus Ó Flatharta & Caoimhe Ní Fhlatharta - Highlights

Siblings Caoimhe and Séamus Ó Flatharta hail from the Gaeltacht region of Conamara in County Galway. Born into a musical family in the village of An Áird Mhóir, they were exposed to traditional Irish Music at a very young age and later developed into accomplished multi instrumentalists, singers and dancers.
The Ó Flatharta siblings are noted for their unique arrangements of well known
Sean-Nós songs, taking a particular interest in vocal arrangement and
harmonisation. Both Caoimhe and Séamus are multi All Ireland winning performers who keep their language and heritage at the heart of all their musical endeavours.

Seeing these fine young people really gives me hope for the future. They have such amazing gifts and are so genuine and humble at the same time. They recently released an EP, simply called: "Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta", with 6 songs. Other than that, Séamus has played in different bands, one is called 'Hightime'. But as far as I know there's no full-length CD (yet) featuring both of them. One lovely recording is here in YT lasting 1,5 hours, called "Cuan an Cheoil Clár 10: Caoimhe Ní Fhlatharta agus Séamus Ó Flatharta".
