My husband is an Uilleann piper. He performed one time at a venue when an elderly man came up to me and said, "That's something you'll won't hear every day!" Thought but didn't say, "Well, actually, I do!"

A credit to O'Carolan and the pipes, masterfully played and inspiring. Thank you Darragh!

Just beautiful! The playing sounds so natural and easy - although this tune must be quite a challenge on the uilleann pipes as it requires playing very high notes (the highest available if I am not mistaken?). The regulators add a lot.

It seems very difficult to play these pipes. Playing the melody, operating the bellows, lifting the pipe and playing the chanter all at the same time.
@darraghpipes3 ай бұрын
This is very true. But the secret is that it's this fact that also makes the uilleann pipes such a joy to play. They need such focus that while playing them, they become the players entire world. Time is measured in notes and feelings.
