Good morning, Mark I subscribed to your channel for a couple of reasons, I'm a hunter myself, I'm an Ex Pat now in NZ (35yrs) and enjoy seeing the countryside you go through. I had to look up the Bergara 22lr as I wasn't sure if it was suppressed and if the flush sling mounts are on both sides (they are). I run a 16inch Tikka T1X with flush mounts and a two stage Timney trigger with the subsonic CCI HP 40gr on hares and possums. It has the same footprint as my 243win Tikka T3X Aspire, which also has flush mounts (now), but I run the Sako with a set trigger; but both have Arken scopes on them, only because I couldn't afford the Element scopes at the time! I stick a drop chart on both the stocks. All this is with a rangefinder bino's plus a thermal spotter which has a built in LRF in it too. Thank you for sharing and mor fox videos please.

Great shooting Mark. Good to see you got the cabin up and running looking very civilised. Must try and organise another date to come out and do a bit more long range.

Hey Mark Great video. What cal 22nd rifle are you using. It works very accurately at longer distanc
@260ripsАй бұрын
Thank you so the 22lr rimfire rifle I was using there on the rabbits is a Bergara b14R 👍

What suppressor you running?
@260rips22 күн бұрын
On the 22 it’s a MAE (not sure what model) and on the centrefire that’s also an MAE and that’s a t12 scout 👍

Great video again. Looking to upgrade my air rifle scope any recommendations ?
@260ripsАй бұрын
Element helix is an awesome scope offering precision and reliability at a good price. If you want to go for something cheaper then the hawke scopes always seem reasonable for the cost 👍

I’m trying to learn ballistic v MOA setting. If I take Eley Match 40gr data I get for your first three rabbits - 9MOA @ 110yds, 31.8MOA @ 215yds and 34.1MOA @ 226yds. You seem to calculate 6.5, 25.5 & 27MOA. I’m confused. Admittedly I’m taking the average velocity quote by Eley of 1062.5 (1040-1085) fps and not the max. But why so much difference?
@260rips16 күн бұрын
🤔 I’m zeroed at 50m (about 55 yards) using a velocity of 1121 fps and a bc of 0.1398 and using the element ballistics app, try those figures and see how you get on 👍
@260rips16 күн бұрын
Sometimes you will need to tweak the velocity to match the drops you are actually getting in the field 👍
@MrCocoevo13 күн бұрын
How much would that setup cost
@Dan_vRSАй бұрын
It took you 8 shots to hit that shotgun shell but then you’re happy to shoot at rabbits at the same distance where the kill zone for a head shot would be about the same size?
@260ripsАй бұрын
A shotgun cartridge is probably less than an inch wide and only about the height of a rabbits head, so realistically it’s probably about the third of the size 🤷🏻♂️
@johnhorsfield4361Ай бұрын
It's impressive to see how far your 22LR can shoot accurately, do you use a moderator?
@260ripsАй бұрын
Yes, it’s on there it’s just a very slimline mae moderator from jms sporting, blends perfectly with the barrel!
@KellyWilliams-k1uАй бұрын
You shoot rabbits at 250m plus in the head but then shoot a fallow deer in the engine room😂
@ВасилийПетров-ш7дАй бұрын
As always, super! Any weather is good for a real hunter. Do you do group hunts with friends, after which there is a good drink?🤔
@260ripsАй бұрын
Thank you, I generally hunt alone or with a friend 😉👍
