Deadpool didn’t really grab me till the movies. The “fridging” of Vanessa soured the sequel for me, but the X-Force heist sequence in the middle kills & thrills me every time! Too short and no guns? So odd

I was somewhat familiar with Deadpool before the movies. My first exposure to him was in the Ultimate Spider-man episode where he was "kid-proofed". I also knew about his game, but I wasn't big on the character until the movie came out. That's when I started reading his comics. The Joe Kelly comics from the 90s made me a fan of the character. As for this figure, the shoulder pads sticking out looks a little weird to me, but the no guns kill it. That's like making a Captain America figure without his shield. I'll stick with the ML 80th Deadpool. It's a completely different look, but it's my preferred look for the character.

The guns being gone sucks. I got the Desert Eagles and holsters from Dstar's store, though, so that pretty much negated my disappointment, not that I was glad I had to pay more for accessories he should've had anyway.

Great review as usual. Informative as ever. I am a fan of Deadpool though I admit I didn’t know much about him before the Ryan Reynold movies. I recall seeing him once in the xmen animated show back in the day. As for the figure I have already ordered it and I do have few firearm accessories that could fit him. Nevertheless it’s disappointing that we don’t get them to begin with. I’d much rather the guns than the extra hands!!!

Deadpool’s thing is guns. This is the equivalent of Spider-Man not getting thwipping hands. It’s totally ridiculous, especially when the figure is representing the movie version of Deadpool who is depicted using guns constantly in a violent way. He even used guns in the PG-13 cut of the second film. Taking guns off the figure doesn’t erase the fact that everyone knows he is a violent character, so why bother? Also, “straight pegs and big balls” was hilarious

I've enjoyed Deadpool since the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance game in 2006. Not sure if that's before it became trendy. Generally not super hardcore into Deadpool but I like the movies and really like the Joe Kelly run of comics from the mid to late 90s.

I’ve loved Deadpool since the 90’s and I love both movies. I’m sad this release didn’t come with guns but more sad he didn’t even come with holsters. But then looking back the Mafex Deadpool didn’t come with guns or holsters either and I love that one too. Granted the Mafex was somewhat of their own design and this is a direct movie adaptation.

Liked Deadpool, I've been a fan since before he was trendy if that means when he started to appear in the MUA games. I prefer his X-Force look, though. His Mafex X-Force version looks like it's gonna be sans guns as well.

Had this preorder but for the exact reason u gave is why I chose to cancel it rt before it was to ship to me. The gun issue def is a major thing to me granted got guns for him here. But What bull. He kills in their movies and uses guns in movies and comics even animation but no can’t have em in his figure. But major issue was the harness/belt across his chest. That was the main reason didn’t get it. Could see me bothered every-time i go to pose him and see that harness broken across his chest. Don’t have OCD but think would seeing that broken belt across his chest when all my other figures have a loose harness that uses them.

Zup Anthony, I was a weekly marvel comics collector back when Deadpool first came out, but I never like the silly, nonsensical writing of his comic,although I never was a Liefeld fan, I enjoyed Reynolds as Deadpool, so much as to buy the 1/4 scale Deadpool action figure, by the way thanks for that review, and I also purchased many others ml figures of him as well. It’s annoying what’s going on with the figures industry and the use of guns accessories, so dumb. I like the pamper style it gives a great front and back kick range that doesn’t go sideways. perfect, thanks a lot for review... it was such a big let down when I've heard they are removing guns... there is however a good 3rd party maker who is filling this gap, maybe you've heard about TakaraTonny he is making whole deadpool weapon accessory pack, but still it should be included with figure, also it doesn't include hand in a pose where pointing finger is making circle with thumb to make a gesture of penetration, that's even bigger fail than missing guns

Yes I bought him and I bought him only because Takara Tony has made a weapon pack for him that comes with a ton of weapons and accessories but mainly because it comes with his thigh holsters and desert eagles

I enjoyed the movies, not everything hit but Ryan really made the movies feel special & you’ll leave with at least a few good laughs. I was thinking he was looking slimmer in his build couldn’t put my finger on it- oh no gun holsters slightly widening parts of the silhouette, yeah that’s weird.

My introduction to Deadpool was the original Ultimate Alliance. I was instantly attracted to mouthy-murdery-spidey lol. I got into his comics with the Gerry Duggan run from 2012, I love anytime he writes Deadpool. The movies are fuckin awesome, I can never decide which I like more

I became a fan around the time of Cable/Deadpool, though I'm iffy on some of the comics, and he's been very flanderized. As for this figure: I find it really weird that they pulled the guns so late in development. The Amazing Yamaguchi version 2 of Deadpool came out like a month before this, and he's got four guns. Probably going to try giving them to this guy, haven't done it yet though. The bigger problem is not that I need to give him guns, it's that he doesn't have the holsters, and those thigh pads look really weird with no holsters sitting on them. I liked both movies.

i bought it. and bought the weapon set from takara tony. super expensive but it upgrades the whole figure by a lot. i chose this over the revoltech v2 deadpool. no regrets for me. now i'm hoping to find a unmasked head sculpt so i can lay on the insults.

I always knew of Deadpool but the game was my introduction to the character proper and I liked him, reminded me of Freakazoid except as a super 90s gun toting mercenary. Speaking of guns, I'm a little baffled as to why Figuarts decided to 86 the guns when Hasbro clearly doesn't have a problem with their lines. Is it strictly a Marvel thing like the DC gun ban with McFarlane? GI Joe and Fortnite still have them, in fact the former's been getting more realistic pieces (The pistol and sniper rifle with Spirit for one) while you could make the argument that Fortnite's more cartoony. As good as this is, I'm sticking to my ML version. Better overall articulation, he has guns (I got lucky and had little glue on mine) and the scaling's better.

I liked 1st Deadpool. I think the 2nd movie was okay. I’ve been a fan of Deadpool prior. I learned about him from marvel ultimate alliance and more from comics. It’s disappointing he doesn’t have guns. It’s weird because the figuarts for black widow and taskmaster have guns, so I’m wondering why it’s removed for Deadpool. I still bought and like this figure. He’s overall good.

I was a pre-Deadpool trend fan, was always hoping for a movie/movies. The movies aren’t 10/10 great, I give them 8/10, 9/10 but I totally enjoyed them! Toys and figures aren’t perfect, I collect mostly and almost only Deadpool figures, love them all, flaws and all! Great review!

They should have put the guns in a “free gift” packed separately from the figure but included in every purchase. They did something similar for the shf black & gold suit spider man where they gave a spider man themed display base that is packed separately from the figure. They can also put no marvel logo or deadpool decoration on the separate gun’s box so marvel can’t say shit.

I'm a fan of the movies. I enjoyed reading Deadpool comics when I found them on my own. The problem is I got into him around the same time he became trendy and because I like to be contrary I stoped reading the comics because I didn't want people thinking I was just jumping on the bandwagon. But I did really like the movies.

I got ML one and honestly I'm happy enough with it also if you get an x-acto knife you can actually seperate the gun from the holsters without damaging either they're only kept in there with a tiny amount of glue. First movie great, second movie terrible and always been a fan of the chatacter himself but a lot of the Deadpool comics are just awful.

I like the movies, the first one a bit more. The second one was fun, but idk. I thought he was cool when I was introduced to him, he was fighting Wolverine and it was just a slugfest. I don’t even remember if the jokes were cringe or cheesy it was just a cool fight. It seemed like before marvel started to overuse him. Idk, kid me liked Deadpool a bit more when he wasn’t making too many appearances. I’ll see a panel of Deadpool doing it saying something funny once in a while but it just doesn’t land the same way, to me. That being said, I’ll still see another movie with him in it. As for the figure, after watching this I’ll probably hold out for another, or grab one if it’s dropped in price. Which, I don’t imagine happening.

I think anyone who started customizing 6 inch figures in the early Toybiz ML days would at least touch Deadpool at least once (*as far as I can remember I did 3), I consider it a rite of passage... As for how long I've known Deadpool...I should say day 1? (*Perks of being an 80's kid) But to be realistic, it would be Adam Pollina's run of X-Force (*I like the team's costume at that time too, still my favorite X-Force's overall team look...I might swap purple for blue to match the main X-men team but you get the idea...)... And like you, I still am not a big Deadpool fan...I like his run during Secret Wars, Cable-Deadpool but that's all there is to it...Never a fan

SHF and Mafex are beautiful and well-made, but they are too small. I immediately regretted my first and only purchase. It could work with female characters, but my collection is like 10% taller and it just scales so poorly that the price for a couple figure upgrades here and there is not worth it.
