@slothyjoe4147 It's a good idea, but we shouldn't have to use the ones from figurise. I feel like we're getting ripped off. We'll probably get Kamehameha blasts/beams in another pack with another exclusive Goku head at some point. Tamashii is going to milk this like they do everything else.

I have seen people breaking the acrylic clip parts because they are so tight and clear plastic are quite fragile. This set is kinda weird since most people don't care about punching/ kicking effect for Dragon Ball characters, we want more blast effects instead. It's probably called Goku's effect parts since this includes his head.

You're right, overly complex is the best way to describe it. They did all this fancy stuff without testing it along the way, and the result is something that seems to be worse than not only SHF's previous effect pieces, but also some domestic companies'. Mine hasn't shipped yet, but I'm probably just gonna take the Goku head and leave the pieces in the box, especially if they're as breakable as people say.

I think you might've been right at the start, the larger wrist/ankle parts look like they're designed to fit on larger characters like Piccolo or something. Can't think what else they'd be for anyway.

I think if they made the effect parts out of the softer PVC but kept the rigs acrylic, they'd pop on the ball joints easier without it being hard plastic on hard plastic, seems like a simple oversight that kinda ruins the pack for me, and I'm usually lenient on effect parts. A better alternative though is use some magicians wax or sticky tack to keep the parts in place, Super Action Stuff includes it with their effect sets.

Pvc can't take or hold sharp, fine details as well. And it's heavy. I'm guessing that's why they didn't use it.

Or maybe a reverse of what you mention? Softer PVC clips but acrylic effect parts? Because if the sockets on the effect parts get stretched out, it might not hold the effect part that well. On the other hand, softer clips will grip slightly better and will not break that easily when removing them.

not scared about breaking them when being held, more scared about whenever the figure it holds onto makes a shelfdive (which is on occasion can happen). 100% breakage upon shelf dive.

I got mine a while back. I love the new face. Hard to get the balls into the effect parts. I suggest placing the effect part on a hard surface then put the ball in pushing down.

This is so frustrating I’ve always wanted them to do effect packs like this I think it’s a great idea, I just wish this was handled better. I hope down the line they continue making accessory packs like this with better quality.

The head really is the only stand-out piece here, though the blasts could work with Vegeta spamming them, I think. Really, all they had to do was a Kamehameha effect and a stand instead of the "wind" pieces, and I think I'd be all-in on this

Yeah, y’all be careful with the ball pegs, if you can put some silicone oil on them before trying to pop them into the effects, you’ll definitely diminish the chances of it snapping. EXTREMELY fragile set, I wanted to get three because I do have a action posed display, but only ended up with one, and thank goodness I did, this is definitely not worth more than 30 bucks, I’ll wait for a clearance at some retailer, I can assure you there’ll be hundreds of these to spare.

Glad I saw this review on my feed randomly. Cancelled my preorder. My figures get a decent bit of use due to how I display them so those pieces would definitely either break or be too frustrating for me to want to use. Love your work, has informed a lot of my purchases. Thanks a bunch!

I've seen a lot of photos of people using these effects with anything but figuarts lol I don't think these clips work as intended but it seems to be a great set for any other line I guess. Wolverine figures will look amazing with the "whooshy" effects.

I curious if the sizes are really for other figures but it's labeled for Goku. Tolerances are tricky. Can't be too tight or too loose. Temps are going to impact things. Should you have a blowdryer ready? When it comes to instructions. In this day and age. I'd like to see companies provide video instructions in addition to diagrams in the box.

Was more interested for this set from ki blast and swoosh effects but the tightness of attaching the effects and hoops over wrist clip like the ki blast and Final Form Frieza ones sucks. I hope either way it inspires them to add them to regular release figures.

The goku head part would look awesome on the upcoming legendary super saiyan goku body coming out later. Reminds me of when goku faught Vegeta for the first time. KAIOKEN!….X4!! lol

You should be impressed as no other toy company apart from those in Japan will make the effort to make these effects plus an extra head. These can be used on any action figure so its definitely value for money.

Yeah, this set is a pass for me. Not really that interested in punch/kick swoosh effects and the blast effects are just ho-hum. I also expected the overly tight fits as the Super Saiyan 2 lightning effects were a pain to get into the ki aura (I snapped one trying to get it in) and this appears to be more of the same. Only with this one, you're trying to snap hard plastic into hard acrylic. At least with the SS2 Goku, the aura has some give to it. A bizarre release all together as collectors of this line want more effects, but not these kind. I also feel like, if this set is made specifically for Goku, why not just include a couple of hands with pegs on them to make it easier?

Tamashii makes their effects parts so sharp. My shf Ultraman z has a beam effect that is a bitch to put on because of the sharp edges and I cut myself from it.
