I just got mine and love it. I feel it has a more fierce look than the original due to the repaint, especially the teeth and face area. Must be the darker colors.

If American version Godzilla 2019 movie had made the spikes on the back of Godzilla like these he would be awesome! Especially if they had gave him the plasma breath like they gave him in Godzilla 2000 would have been super awesome. After Godzilla shot you with his plasma bolt you saw those sparks & pops on the back his giant spikes wich was truly stupendous. & The best Godzilla movie ever put together. & how about in the end of the movie when he made the ring 💍 of fire 🔥in the middle of the city before he walked off truly, truly, "MAGNIFICENT"nothing beats it! That was the best part in Godzilla 2000 Movie. & Since the movie was my favorite, I already have both versions of the S.H. Monsterarts Toys. Good Review

I really enjoyed the comparison section between the original figure and the repaint. Although this figure is really quite nice, and helps people get the original Godzilla 2000 figure, I think the fact that this figure doesn't have the iconic purple spines really hurts the buying factor for me. Also I would much rather just have a new sculpt for a KiryuGoji figure so we could get nice details like the chest scar, and unique dragon-esque face that the Kiryu Godzilla has.

Great review! Just got this figure today. It's really cool looking and I like that it is based on the Yuji Sakai concept art. I am glad that the 2000 figure was re-released, even with a new paint job. I missed the original 2000 figure and the prices for it went up quickly, so I was glad to pick this up for about $57 or so on sale at Barnes and Noble. I like the color on this one because it resembles the KiryuGoji suit from Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. Of my small but growing SH MonsterArts collection, this is one of my favorites.

Great review as usual for the SHMA figures, Diego. I had a feeling this was gonna represent KiryuGoji, seeing as the paint scheme is so similar to KiryuGoji's paint scheme. I'm not surprised that this would go well with the MFS-3 Type-3 Kiryu figures. Now I just gotta try and get ahold of this guy so I can have a figure to go with the Heavy Arms variant of the Kiryu figure I own. :]

Great review! I'm still not sure if I'm going to get this one. At least the G64 and 95 repaints have new beam effects, this one has very little to make me want it, aside from wanting to complete the collection.

I got lucky and found this guy at a Barnes and Noble. Although considering the trip took a toll on me it was worth it. I even kept him in the box especially since the paint apps and joints are very delicate on these figures. Plus I still have the original release on display. Side note I was also trying to pick up the New Son Goku but the store manager snaked it. Like great the one day I'm actually able to get around and this jerk manager keeps it for himself.
