S.H.MonsterArts Kou Kyou Kyoku Godzilla 1989 is a fantastic entry into the Kou Kyou Kyoku line. Godzilla has a fantastic sculpt, fantastic paint applications, a nice light up feature, a great sound feature, a great music feature and good range of articulation. This figure is very nice, very neat, and very cool. Despite this figure having a few short comings I still highly recommend picking this figure up.

@@DiegoDoom I feel like the “Kou KYOu KyoKu” Godzilla toy should’ve had the waist movement besides the LED and Speaker feature. I mean, it should’ve had both the waist-moving and the light and sound and music feature, so you would be able to move Godzilla’s waist without breaking the internal electronics. So… When will they make a second figure like this but with both the electronics and the waist movement?

ADjustinG2013 (I get the joke but) It's not, it's repetitive. The same choice of words over and over. That's bad writing. Imagine if this was a book, and you just hear "fantastic" and the figures name repeated over and over. He needs to start using synonyms, and stop repeating the figures name. We know the figures name. It's in the title.

+DiegoDoom The S.H. Monsterarts Shin Gojira figure could go well with Fire Rodan's beam effect. Just a tip if you get to review it. Edit/Add on: I remember now that occasionally ShinGoji's breath turns orange and flame-like, so to emulate that you could also possibly use Gamera's beam effect.

I also got the purple little paint, but this time on Godzilla's right arm. Thankfully, it was more like a dried up piece of purple paint so I was able to make it go away using a tiny brush.

Why is this figure so out of scale? 1989 Godzilla was only 80m tall. The other Heisei Godzillas are way taller, about 100m.

If this figure were to drop to $100 bucks or less Ill pick it up. But the only reason to get the figure is its light up feature which it doesn't do great on. Hell even if it were the best it still would not be worth over $100.

Even with my complaints and flaws with this figure which do include: No Beam effect and poor light up feature at the spikes, but aside that i still do really want it. It got me interested in the S.H.MonsterArts line again. Hopefully i can get this for christmas. I know that would be my only Christmas prh.esent but hey it is indeed worth it. I have mostly NECAs at the moment. I have one S.H.MA and that is the Rebirth '95 Goji and he's amazing. I only paid him for $61 (In my country so no shipping).
