I'm disappointed with the lack of an effect part. I don't think it completely screws the figure over, but I definitely think it's more of a big deal than you made it seem in this video. Especially for people who aren't collectors and just want a cool Godzilla vs Kong figure.

It’s ironic that the KOTM Godzilla 2019 figure came with a beam but his dorsal fins don’t reflect it. Then they release this which is meant to be him LITERALLY shooting the beam and he doesn’t get one

For everyone who's been wondering "why is diego's godzilla 2021 right shoulder coming off a bit?" And that's because, sh monsterarts problems, Yup it wasn't diego who popped it, As you can watch Shartimus Prime and every person who had reviewed on it, It has it's right shoulder coming out a bit as well. I have absolutely no clue why they bother giving him the blue paint apps when they didn't plan to give him an effect part. Do they not think people can only have enough money or space for a single figure? If you're not gonna give him atomic breath, don't paint him in a way that only looks decent if he has one, forcing you to buy another figure that comes with one. On top of that, on a more minor note, the shade of blue in the available atomic breath doesn't even match the paint apps on the figure. I seriously don't get what they were trying to do here. Without the atomic breath, the dorsal spines look decent enough, but his mouth is just coated in blue. It's like he just ate a bucket of blue Gushers. Maybe it would've looked better if they could find a way to make the back of his throat look bright blue, bordering on white, so you could use the excuse that he's charging his atomic breath and maybe it would look better. As it stands, it's a poorly executed feature in my opinion.

Bandai probably did it so he wasn't the same as 2019 but with a different head sculpt and new hands. It looks fine and I actually like it better than the dark blue for KotM. It matches up with 2014 Spitfire

@@godziller9976 Yeah, but the problem is the look itself, mainly in the mouth, doesn't look good unless he himself has an effect part. Which you need to purchase another figure to get, even if you don't want that other figure. If you want this figure with an atomic breath effect part, then you need to get this figure and either 2014 Spitfire version or 2019. And if you want one that matches, your only option is 2014. Otherwise, you can't have him displaying a proper effect part, which makes his mouth look weird because it's "glowing" blue with nothing in it. It especially makes his teeth look weird when there's nothing there to actually provide the light that would make his teeth blue in the first place.

@@godziller9976 I guess, but in terms of his mouth, you can't even use that excuse. You say he looks fine, which is your opinion so it's fine, but I say the excuse of it glowing doesn't even apply because the nature of paint and shadows means there's no way you can paint the inside of his mouth to make it ACTUALLY look like it's glowing. It's not like with Shin Godzilla, where you could get away with the inside of his mouth glowing because when he jaw is splayed open so far, you could angle lights and whatnot naturally in a way that minimized shadows. But here, just because it's blue, doesn't mean it's glowing. There's no way you can highlight the inside of his mouth to make it look good unless you just point a lamp directly at his face. And even if it was just that, that his mouth is glowing, it would be coming from his throat, right? Where his atomic breath is being charged. So there should be no reason his lips and the outsides of some of most of his teeth should also be glowing.

Will say that if one never bought any of the KOTM Godzilla SHMA's but have Spitfire 2014, that atomic breath matches the colors of the 2021almost perfectly and can even put the severed Muto head hand on it for further effect.

Okay, I'm no super fan of Kong, but let's just make one thing clear here: The score is 1-1. Kong was declared the winner of their first crossover movie, "King Kong vs Godzilla" (1962), and Godzilla was declared the winner of this latest crossover. So yeah, the score is all tied up. Until we get a THIRD crossover, which will hopefully serve as a penultimate tie-breaker, then there is no true, definitive "king". Except King Ghidorah, who still needs multiple monsters and/or sudden power ups in order to be taken down.
